My doctor said AMN has caused no brain damage. I am relieved.
Thanks for answering my questions.

That's great news, HenryW. And the fact that you have had AMN for so long (30+ years) bodes well for being less likely to not getting brain damage in future.
As a matter of interest, where do you live?
I live in Canada.
I lived in Ontario for 15 years back in the '70s-'80s. What part of Canada are you in?
That's great news. I had an MRI brain scan approximately 20 years ago. I have been asking many specialists for about 7 years to get another MRI done. They were not keen to organize it. I said I wanted to know if I have 2 years or 20 years left. I dug my toes in last year and demanded one. My endo decided it would be a good idea to get a scan of my thyroid and then my neurologist thought that if that was being done it would be an ideal time to get an MRI of the brain as well. I was in the machine for 2 hours Pleased to say it all came back clear. It is a great relief.
Where do you live Denny? It seems different countries have MRIs with differing frequencies.
Here in the states, I’ve been lucky to receive an annual MRI with my insistence. Upon diagnosis of adult cerebral AL D, I’ve been receiving an MRI every three months as part of the MIN-102 study.. Hopefully, the results will be available by the end of the year.
