Was when I was 23,or thereabouts that I started my sleep problems. Couldn't get off, kept waking up. Then the spasms kicked in when I was in my early thirties. Messing with my sleep architecture.
I started off on Etizolam, then Xanax, every Benzo under the sun. I even took Rohypnol. I settled on Melatonin, which after several rounds of Gabapentin sent me off to the land of nod.
But lately I've been having a lot of problems getting off to sleep. Back on the Clonazepam for me. Works very well, impossible to stay awake on that, but I don't like it one bit. Murder, though, lying there, unable to get any peace.

I have been using an indica vape pen for a while now when I crawl into bed to help with sleep, I don't care for the feeling really but it does help me nod off. Being able to try different varieties to find the one that works is the one thing with it's being legalized in Canada that I like. I tried a prescribed version before legalization but they only have hybrids and that didn't help as well, but I only used an oil I didn't vape it and maybe that is a part of the difference. The other side effects are beneficial and make me not want to go back to the prescribed even though my GP would prefer that I did.
I really hope that you are able to find help to get the sleep that you desperately need!!
I am always struggling with sleep issues...it is an intricate dance of trying to find a way to fall asleep, stay asleep, and yet not feel more “foggy” or “hungover” the next day.
I can’t remember the last time I had a good full night sleep without “help”.
