Thank you Kazzy. I knew it was changing class but didn't realise that it was going to change to a month, and to pick it up from the surgery. Luckily mine won't change as I am only given a month at a time which is a bit annoying. I was hoping to increase it to 2 months but I won't be now. Quite often I will pick up from the chemist on a Saturday because it is quieter so I won't be able to do that.

What happens about home deliveries?

Hi Cherie, I’m not sure about deliveries. I’m going to call my GP tomorrow, as I get mine delivered. They collect the prescriptions, and deliver. I’m not always well enough to go out, whether it’s anxiety, or mobility. It’s such a pain.

Brings it into the same class as Tramadol (addictive stuff, Tramadol).

Amazingly Temazepam is class 4 and Morphine class 5. Not sure of the logic behind this. My old Mum, used to get the load of Tramadol for her debilitating, chronic pain, now she gets a couple of week's worth, has to drag herself constantly to the doctor's, then over to the chemist. Wears her down.

Hi Monkeybus, they really don’t think these things through, do they? We don’t get prescribed these medications because there’s nothing wrong with us, they’re given for a reason. 😡

This is happening due to the crackdown on pain prescription drugs. They’ve been abused and now they require drug tests to get and people started abusing Gabapentin because it was easier to get.

Hi Kazzy, yes I found this recently when ordering. You only get 4 weeks supply literally. My doctor rang to say I can still order online but surgery need to print off for him to sign then it can be forwarded to pharmacy. Have heard conflicting info on this and think it down to individual surgeries how they deal with.

Just need to remember 4 weeks not a month!!!!

Hope this helps x

Thanks for your reply Susan. I’ve got an appointment with my GP today, so I’ll hopefully find out how my surgery will work with this change.

Hiya everyone. I called my pharmacy, who deliver all my meds, and he said they will still continue to collect my prescription for Pregabalin, so maybe they’ll be no change for meds that are delivered 😄👍

I have spoken to my pharmacy and although I should give it an extra day to go through due to the Gp signing it there shouldn't be any change.
