For those who suffer with painful neuropathy, here is an article published in New Mobility that I highly recommend. New Mobility is a magazine for active wheelchair users which is inspiring and informative.

The Pain That Never Stops
Thanks for posting the article, Steve. How are you managing your pain currently? Have you tried anything new recently?
I'm having surgery next Monday to have a spinal cord stimulator implanted. The trial revealed that it really doesn't remove pain effectively in certain areas (feet particularly - which the doctors said is a difficult area to cover), but at least it's a different sensation than the usual pain. Certainly better than nothing at all.
It's been a while since we've spoken. I'll try giving you a call this week. Be well, friend!
Please Aaron let us know how it goes with the stimulator (and best wishes with the op). It has been suggested for my mum (she has tried everything but her neuropathy has now reached the upper body 😞).
Hi monmon,
I just had my surgery on Monday to have the spinal cord stimulator implanted. It went well, with no complications. My back is still quite sore, but that's to be expected. They won't turn the device on until next Monday, so I have no comments yet on its efficacy. I'll keep you posted!
Thanks for posting that link, it’s great that we can share our knowledge on here
