Nothing for nothing , a doctor informed me that beetroot juice was performance enhancing.

I seriously looked into sports nutrition last year. I'll do so again. Anything to try and squeeze an extra 0.000001% from my poor, aching muscles.

Nitrates play a big part in all of this.

There has been a programme on this recently testing out some rowers and it greatly improved their times if they drank beetroot juice.
