Spring Covid Jabs?

Does anyone have information regarding the availability of Covid vaccinations this spring or later for individuals who are not immunosuppressed, over 75, or residing in care homes? Any information would be appreciated.

According to the BBC a number of pharmacies will be selling it for between £75 and £99. Boots will let me book one now for Feb 20 for £98.95.

Hi.

I'm in Wales. The Welsh Government has accepted the latest advice from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which has advised a spring COVID-19 vaccination should be offered to the most vulnerable citizens in 2025.

This includes adults aged 75 years and over, and residents in a care home for older adults. The COVID-19 spring programme will run between 1 April and 30 June 2025.

I would have thought that a similar NHS programme will run in England.

Yes, that programme is also running in England but I- and many others- fall outside that category. Hence the concern.

I’m in Wales and had my covid nhs jab last week. Don’t know if it’s a spring one or a late one 🤷🏼‍♀️. I just go when called. I’m 62 with my heart issues as only reason.

hi. This years flu letter has been published , I think last week. All the details are in there. If you google 25/26 annual flu letter you will find it. Looks like the spring vaccine is aimed at the same vulnerable groups as last year

Yes, but I’m not clear on whether subsequently there will be a similar rollout for under 75’s as last year.

Is this helpful for you ? X

The announced and authorised cohorts for the spring 2025 programme will cover:

adults aged 75 years and over

residents in a care home for older adults

individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in COVID-19: the green book, chapter 14a; Tables 3 and 4

This includes those who will turn 75 years old by 17 June 2025. They will be eligible for a vaccination at any point in the campaign. Those who are new residents in an older adult care home or become immunosuppressed by 17 June 2025 are also eligible.
