Hello,

I may get an injection that contains Triamcinolone (Kenalog) a steroid at a lose dose. Has anyone taken this steroid and did it cause your heart to act up?

I personally can't endure any type of steroid as it triggers a-fib. Everyone is different, of course.

Kenalog is used very very commonly for reducing inflammation, shoulder or knee pain and spinal pain. For 99.9% of people it's absolutely fine. Thousands of people have it for arthritis. If someone says they had a steroid injection , it would almost always be kenalog.

I had it years ago. It did not affect my heart at all.

There are rarely, other known side effects like feeling sick or dizzy which happen within 15 to 20 minutes so they should keep you there for at least half an hour so they can treat you if affected.

Not what you're looking for?
