CRT Upgrade Done

Hi was in surgery last Friday to upgrade 2 lead pacemaker to a biventricular 3 lead pacemaker due to ventricular asynchronism. Was done under local anesthetic and took 2.5 hrs, probably wouldn't have taken quite as long but I have previously had AV node ablation, removal of existing PM was bit unpleasant as with inserting the 3rd lead and a couple of times had to ask for more pain relief.

3 days on feel, bit weak, sore and stiff but so far so good.

Was given a home unit for remote monitoring and told to stay on the meds, ramipril, bisoprolol apixabam, dapagliflozin which were previously prescribed.

Still in AF and Heart Failure but hoping the CRT will slow things down from getting worse, time will tell I suppose.

As for the remote unit monitoring, obviously takes the recordings from the CRT pacemaker to send back to cardiology dept but what information does the unit pick up? Will it record AF symptoms?

Need a check up in 6 weeks so will ask more questions then but until then resting and hoping I can get out for a few walks next week 👍

I have read great things about CRT. I have bundle block (LBBB) so can foresee the day when that might be coming my way. Please do report on your continued recovery.
