As we approach this festive season, I wanted to take a moment to wish every one of you a Merry Christmas! π π Despite our shared journey with atrial fibrillation, let's embrace the spirit of the moment and spread some cheer to light up our hearts.
May your hearts be as steady as a perfectly tuned metronome, and may the only fluttering you experience this season be the joyous excitement of unwrapping presents! ππ
Remember, laughter is a great medicine, so here's a little dose of holiday humour for you:
"Why did the heart go to the Christmas party? Because it wanted to have a 'pulse'-ating good time!"
On a serious note, your strength, resilience, and support within this community have created a bond that beats even the strongest of hearts. Let's celebrate the warmth of togetherness and the hope that the new year brings better health and happiness for all.
I am sending each of you a sleigh full of good wishes, joy, and a heart-healthy Christmas.
Paul

The days are getting longer, it's warming up, some days getting to mid to high 20'sC. I've fired up the BBQ last weekend. Found the jandels. Yes it's starting to feel like Christmas. I'll raise a glass of iced water to you Paul. Cheers Blake
We won the Yacht Race!!!!! Couldn't keep my eyes open Day 1. Didn't realise that I could have watched on TV3 delayed at 4.30pm.
However I watched races 4 and 5 (or was it 5 and 6).
Lots of buying supplies. $8.99kg for fresh spring lamb at PaknSave.
You know that UK gets our best lamb!
You have a great one and I can smell the barbie heating up. A crowd of us will shelter under those pictureque Pohutukawa trees out in bloom. I have an Australian Pohutukawa tree out front.
Awwwww Paul that's so lovely. I love Christmas -, not only the pretty lights, delicious food but all the festive cheer and the kindness/ generosity that the Christmas spirit brings. This year it feels even more heart warming against what's being happening in the world around us. Thank you for posting this. Happy Christmas to you too Paul & to everyone.
Good morning Paul, just reading the posts before getting out of bed!! π€π€ thank you for your message to us all, I wish you and your family and all our club members a happy Christmas and a very happy New Year ππ§βππ.

That was nice, Paul. Happy Christmas to you and your family and also to all the members who have been so helpful to me this year. Especially appreciated when I was having my ablation in September. Your words of encouragement, advice and good wishes, really helped me.. .Cath.
Happy Christmas to you Paul. That's just made me smile& laugh. ππI'm recovering from 3rd Ablation, but so far, I'm feeling good. If any one is in dought of having it done. Go for it-a super chance to feel well. Good wishes to everyone.
Have a good Christmas Paul, I shall be looking out for you to make me laugh again. Debs π
Happy Christmas to you and yours Paul. I agree that this is a fantastic support forum. I've made a lively "hearty" friend on here who has helped make my journey more bearable.
I've found so much helpful info on here and hearing other peoples experiences and coping strategies has been invaluable.
So thanks to all on here for sharing and caring. Happy Christmas to all and a fabulous New Year.
Being fairly new to this Afib experience, I am so happy that I found this group! It brings me hope as well as much useful information with some wit and wisdom attached! Thank all of you and a Merry Christmas!
thank you Paul for your good wishes and Christmas cheer. Does not feel very Christmassy here yet because too warm and decidedly too wet. Getting the tree sorted today and cards and emails done. Lovely to hear from you and from all my fellow A/Fibbers. You are indeed a caring lovely lot of supportive people. Happy Christmas and heartfelt wishes for a less hearty but cheerful 2024
Thank you, Paul for such a warm hearted post. It cheered me up to read it especially as after three and half years of covid, goodness knows how many jabs, 7 or 8, I finally tested positive for covid yesterday. I had grown so complacent that I couldn't believe that the cold and cough would be that. I've been lucky. Ok, so I miss my hair appt, my blood test friend and family gathering this weekend but there will be other times. Happy Christmas to you and yours!
Hey Camelia. You are strong enough to stick this out. It's not nice or ideal but you'll deal with it. Last year I tested positive for covid on New Year's Eve - party plans out of the window. Do I care? No - a third of the world doesn't have enough food to eat. Puts its perfective for me.
I wish you the quickest of recoveries and ALL the best for 2024.
Thanks, Paul. You sound like the ideal father/husband/big brother/best friend. I need a reminder now and again! Of course you would have to be a 100 to be my father!
