OK so we are so well organised this year and a 7 30 start saw us picking up the turkey from the butcher who opened at 7 ! Sam's just gone off to do the normal weekly shop as I had to pop in for INR test .
I wish you all a wonderful time and hope that you look after your hearts.
This year will be the first for probably fourteen that Sam is not working and I don't have to cook so please remember all those nurses and doctors, firemen and police, care workers etc who give up their Christmas for us and try not to worry them!
I very much doubt we will have a white Christmas here in UK (not in my lifetime although in 62 it did snow on Boxing Day) but enjoy what you have and share at this special time.

I remember snow 1970 (London)I was nursing and due to go to midnight mass after the others got back from evening carol service. They went out and everywhere clear. I never got to midnight mass. In 4 hours there was thick snow on the ground and more coming.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and stay safe. I hope 2020 will be all you wish for. xxx
I remember that Christmas too in London, Frances! We had been married for two years and living in Beddington - we walked to my sister in East Croydon for lunch but I dont think it lasted long and soon started to melt. Seasons greetings to you.
The temptation to wish you a โHappy Holidayโ is almost overwhelming but I will endeavour to resist!
Have a great time with the family and all the best for 2020. No snow here in Portugal, brilliant sun and temperatures due to reach 20!
All the best for Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year, Bob, and many thanks for all you do here on the forum to keep us informed, enlightened and encouraged. Kate x
Thankyou BobD! And Merry Christmas to you and everyone from me here in warm sunny Missouri, USA. It is unusually warm here, which Im happy about. We have Christmas morning at our youngest sonโs home watching the grands open gifts and eating a yummy breakfast then later go to eldest sonโs home for dinner . My biggest job is to not eat too much!
Merry Heart and Christmas Bob! Thank you for all your advice on this site - a great Volunteer - you make the world a better place. Every good wish for 2020 too.
Speaking of snow, I'm in the middle of the prairies in Canada, and I don't think we have ever had a brown (green?) Christmas. We've had snow for at least a month now, including some very nasty temperatures. Down to -30 C already at times, although today we're at a balmy -5 C, with hoarfrost on the trees. It's quite beautiful.
Nice one Bob, and in particular I'm thinking of and feeling for all those who have lost so much in the Aussie bush fires ( yeah, so all you Ozzie AF'ers - thinking of you). Been there once ( and only once thank goodness) in Berowra, northern Sydney in 2002. Totally awesome.
