Nebivolol problems

I'm struggling with trying to balance blood pressure and heart rate.I take 1.25 Nebivolol once a day but am finding it lowers my BP too much which is making me feel dizzy and light headed.Have tried stopping it for a day but then get tachycardia and AF. Anyone else had this problem?

I had high BP now its low the Nevibolol bought it down 3 months ago i halved it only on 2.5 mg now and as i have heart failure i need a beta blocker..

I may have to get onto Metoprolol which is what i was taking previously i see my cardiologist in two weeks..

Thanks for replying.I'm on Nebivolol for rate control of AF but recently finding it's lowering BP too much so it's a balancing act.Just wondered if anyone else had same problem and any solutions.Hope you get some satisfaction from cardiologist.

I have AF as well i take Amiodarone my blood pressure is very low its going to be interesting to see as to whether the Cardio changes my meds anyway good luck i hope you get a solution..

How are you finding the Amiodarone?How long have you been taking it and has it caused any problems! I have resisted taking it so far.Would be interested to know what cardiologist says about meds.

No problems with Amiodarone been taking it 10 months but it does have a lot of side affects though i think its each to their own on that i gobble up 200mg per day..I will get back as to whether i get off the Nevibolol and the meds i am prescribed..

May I ask what HR is? I am on amiodarone 200mg daily for about five years and it is over the years getting lower, low 40s to low 50s. I'm seeing my EP 17th of this month as I'm getting sick and tired of this. Sorry to bother you. Thank You

Around 90 over 50 most of the time when my blood pressure was high it got to 190 over 145 or there abouts..I see my EP cardiologist on the 21st of this month i have a lot to discuss with him thank you for your reply i understand as i could not get help when my blood pressure was high as it peaked at night..

Got my Amiodarone cut to 100 mgs so half now perindopril was cut to 2.5 mgs from 5 mgs to raise my blood pressure and the bugger cut my Frusemide out completely i have fluid building up already..

Use of the two together can cause irregular heartbeat according to "drugs.com" interaction checker. Maybe there is another safe diuretic he can give you?

I double checked i usually check them but i trusted them once too often..

Wife is on 7.5 mg but also takes Lozartin for BP. Blood pressure is normal.

Think my earlier reply to you has disappeared! Hope your wife is feeling better now.I was prescribed Nebivolol for rate control not BP.It lowers BP too much but find it's not that good at reducing heart rate for fast AF.
