Today my first day on Nebivolol, was on Metropolo for four years! How long does it take not feeling like a zoomie? I am looking forward to feel better than this!

what dosage are you on? I didn’t like how I felt on it either doctor lowered my dose, still felt like I was dragging an anchor around, I stopped taking it. It’s seems I am fine without it. I am very sensitive to many things like chemicals etc.

Are you talking about Nebivolol? I just started taking it yesterday and I am taking 2.5mg.

I can't comment on nebivolol, but I've been taking 25mg metoprolol twice a day for six months. It has caused lethargy, fatigue and brain fog, although not as bad as a much lower dose of bisoprolol (I could not get out of bed). It has also caused weight gain (late 50s woman here), but this has levelled off. It remains to be seen how much of a struggle it will be to lose it again.

Six months in, the side effects seem to be decreasing, but not consistently. The first week of April, I had more energy than I've had in six months, but last week I was lethargic and stupid again. "Dragging an anchor around" is a good description. So is "it's hard to get out of first gear."

My GP (50s) told me recently that he has been on beta blockers since he was 18 -- so he went all through medical school and hospital training while taking them! HOW?!?! Perhaps the effects are less drastic when you're young. All he said was, "You get used to them."

I took Metoprolol for four years and felt terrible after one year, but did not know it was the pill! I am hoping that this new drug I just started will be better, Nebbivolol! I know how you feel , I feel tired all the time and foggy and like that I am not all together!
