I am a 62 year old male and had a cryoablation in early December and so far no afib episodes since which is beyond pleasing. Currently still on the same medication I was on before, Flecainide , Bisoprolol and Apixaban. One becomes super sensitive to any new ' feelings ' or ' changes ' in daily life and was wondering if my new ones might have anything to do with having had the procedure ? Maybe others have experienced similar things ? They are : Cold feet, mild but irritating tinnitus, light headed for about 10 seconds when I stand up and finally a heart rate that is regular but rarely goes at the same speed for more than a few beats. 3 month follow up with EP due soon so will run these past him of course. Informative and helpful site by the way.

Physical changes since recent cryoablation.
Your cold feet and lightheadedness might be associated with bisoprolol particularly if the dose has been increased recently.
Thanks for that, you could well be right.
If you haven’t seen this factsheet, suggest you take a look, lots of useful information about what to expect over the next few days, take it easy for as long as possible.........
HelloKeep a record of your experiences ready for when you have your follow up might useful ?
I have not had an ablation yet but reading on here,it seems common to have a bit of annup and down ride for a few months while things settle down
Best wishes
I am the same age as you and on the same drugs except
I am the same age 62 and been on all 3 of these drugs for 3 years no side effects except cold hands had some periods of lightheaded but its gone in time I had terrible AF for 3 years these drugs keep it at bay try to persevere for another month, good luck
Thanks Charlie, very reassuring.
Hi Simon, my experience with bisoprolol was about four/five years ago now. I didn't get on with the side effects so over a period of time (six months) weaned myself off along with other medicine I was on. All I take now is 75mg aspirin with breakfast daily. So now very well and never felt better thank you, hope not to go there again ! Heart ticks nicely and no breathlessness, and spend most days cycling which is my little secret cure all.
That’s very interesting, thanks. Will def be discussing reduction / removal of the drugs with EP at beginning of March .
Enjoy the cycling.
I took this decision alone. All drugs have side effects then the medics dish out more drugs to treat the side effects and before you know it you're on 30 drugs daily, did I want that, no way. The medics push the drugs like crazy, perhaps it's in their interest ? Who knows ?I just don't want all that stuff swishing around in my body thank you ! One has to take these decisions and that's what I did !
Tinnitus is a possible but rare side effect of Flecainide. I say this with caution as if you look at flecainides list of potential side effects it is huge, but just because it's on the list does not mean that is the cause of your tinnitus. I thought I had read this previously , but checked on two websites before replying. I would check with my doctor if I was you . However whilst on the second website I checked before replying it also said "the use of Flecainide with calcium channel blockers should be considered with caution" ! This as news to me as I took flecainide with diltiazem, a CCB, and I don't really remember the caution! I have clearly survived despite this.
