Good Morning, does anyone have experience if CBD oil drops for chronic/acute pain, I would value any information, and effects if any on AFib.

Hi,

my wife bought some CBD oil recently for her shoulder pain, and it worked a treat. Also aided a good night's sleep.

I took it for a few nights to help with my hip and back pain (ankylosing spondylitis flare up) and I did feel some relief. No issues with AF, I have been in NSR for 2 years following an ablation

I certainly felt a lot calmer. And I would certainly try it if you think it may help.

We bought the highest strength from Holland and Barrett

It tastes like the bottom of a weed smokers ashtray though!!

Many thanks Mikee, that’s good to know, I bought some Hemp oil for massage of creaky knees, that too stank of tobacco, had to stop using it. I saw some for sale on Amazon with peppermint. Dee

I use it most evenings before bed. 3 drops max under the tongue relaxes me and aids sleep. Like to think if it’s relaxing me it’s relaxing my heart.

Hi Kingsley, I haven’t done much research on CB oil, so can’t comment on heart racing or blood thinning. I am n persistent af, so don’t really notice any changes in rhythm or racing. I have been taking Apixaban for four years. If you are concerned you should speak with your pharmacist or GP. However I doubt they will have much imore information. Sorry I can’t give you more reassurance.

I use the Celtic Wind brand and its instruction is to take 0.7ml that equals one squeeze of the full dropper. CBD oils are a bit of a minefield with so many on the market from different countries and confusing concentrations and great variations in price.

Is CBD oil ok then if you take flecainide?

I’ve just read that it interacts with anti arrhythmic drugs, but yesterday a man in AF said he used it at night without problem. Sorry but I haven’t tried it yet, just testing the waters on opinion.
