I am new to this and after following the posts for sometime I thought someone may have some advice.
I have had AF for 3 years now without any major drama's so far but do suffer from a Sjogrens Syndrome which has numerous issues. I would like to try CBD oil for pain and anxiety but unsure of the effects on AF. Has anyone tried this and could offer some info.
Thanks heaps MargieB,

I was referred by my gp to a pharmacist who was studying cbd. I bought various types of tablets which contained different amounts of cbd they did not affect my heart and af but also did nothing for my chronic back and neck pain either. The last tablets I bought contained the highest amount of cbd active ingredient available and were very expensive. Worth a try though when you have pain and unable to take NDAIDs which were the only thing that worked for me.
From what I have read and been told, CBD only useful for swellings. Apparently it causes the seller's bank account to swell nicely.
From all that I've read, this product is at the heart of an internationally effective marketing campaign. I understand that, against what people are being led to believe (me included), all active ingredients have been removed from it, leaving a placebo behind.
I suppose that you might be one of the lucky third, or so, of folks who gain some kind of useful response from these kinds of thing, so it is certainly worth trying given that the hype around it is likely to generate a placebo response, but I would buy the very cheapest you can, since they are all, essentially, the same.

Not sure if all strains of cannabis are legal in the UK, and if so, what oversight, QC and regulations are in place,,but here in Canada, it has been legal for quite some time. The CBD sold and prescribed here is not the hemp extract, and content percentages are marked on the label. There is no THC active ingredient, so no, no amount will "get you high". Mine is through prescription for arthritis, and greatly reduces swelling in my hands. I take 3 gel caps a day. No side effects or interactions with Diltiazem or Xeralto...for me. As always consult your physician.Like anything, it doesn't work for everyone, and results vary.
I have tried CBD both orally and topically for anxiety and for back pain. Didn't work for either, but did not affect my heart/AF in any way.
I understand that it’s not a good idea rather like alcohol, tobacco and other drugs though perhaps the oil has the exciting stuff removed so may not be so harmful! A guy we know says it’s worked very well for his arthritis!
Have suffered bad insomnia most of my life, especially the later years, A/F since 1998. Drug therapy and 2 ablations have not stopped it. Got some prescription sleep aid from my doctor, which I don't like. A friend introduced me to cannabis oil to take an hour before bed and ever since sleep is wonderful. It certainly has not affected my A/F, if anything has helped, but not cured it.
Go ahead with CBD. Just might take awhile to find the right amt to take, everybody's tolerance is different. I have no experience with just CBD. A little THC seems to help with sleep problem. The high if I get some, I don't even know, since I'm sleeping.
Good luck to you. I do know people who find it helps with pain.
I am old school and shyed away from things like this but desperate to try something else other than the opoids I have been taking and the Pain Doc wants to insert a spinal cord stimulator into me I tried both kinds. Tincture of 1 to 1 parts of THC and CBD was a waste of money entirely. The much less expensive 30 parts CBD to 1 part THC was remarkably effective! So. going to keep using the edibles for my jacked up back and knees, while not going to submit to surgery of any kind.
