There is a very strong link between gastro problems and arrythmias. My view is that changing your Lifestyle rather than taking other medications is the answer.

Do a search on previous threads as to just how many posts there have been previously written on this subject and just how much you can do for yourself to prevent or ease this problem - which is quite a complex one as the reason for excess wind varies with each person but normally reduces down to eating certain foods.

You won’t have to look too far back - there was one a few days ago

Have a look at the Fodmap diet, that tells you what wind producing foods to avoid.

I totally agree with CDreamer

Never heard of Belly Wind. Not a term used in USA. Is that a euphemism for farting?

The trouble with gastro medications is they can cause other issues so you ricochet from one issue to another. My view is they have a place but only in emergencies, the rest of the time alternatives are a better long term bet despite the attractions of the silver bullet solution.

I would look first with experienced advice from an Alternative Practitioner at what you eat, when and how fast. e.g. I found I was gulping air down when eating too quickly because it was easier to breathe through the mouth with a blocked nose.

I take Rennie Deflatine if it gets too bad.

I can sympathise. I have to avoid constipation like the plague (a difficult thing for me as I have IBS/DD) as the bloating pushes up my stomach into the diaphragm and then that onto the heart to cause PVCs, tachycardia and, if I'm unlucky, the dreaded AF.

I find taking a very mild laxative prevents windiness so have you tried a large glass of Sunsweet prune juice with breakfast? Other options are to eat prunes themselves with breakfast (I have both prunes and juice). Laxido sachets also work well as does (surprisingly given it is fizzy but you can wait till the fizz subsides if need be), a glass of Andrew [Liver] Salts (which contains magnesium). Finally, if you can get it these days as its in short supply for some reason, Milk of Magnesia taken at night 30-40ml.

Let me know how you get on.

Abdominal issues and ectopics beats and afib go together. Doctors will deny it but those of us know. When your stomach is filled with air it pushes up on your organs and your esophagus which in turn irritates your heart. Eat small meals, slowly. Take gas x pills when you feel bloated. Force yourself to burp to get air out of your stomach.
