Hello its me again I have just been looking for times etc to come up and I have decided as its long journey to stay over Monday and travel back Tuesday can anyone recommend some where to stay. Think I may come up anyway I haven't been back home for 7 years

Hi Carol. It would be lovely to see you. There are all the usual eg premier inn, mercure,Radisson blue,Novotel, Traelodge, Holiday inn, Hilton. Ihave personally stayed at the Hilton and Holiday in and actually preferred the Holiday inn. All these have a number of hotels either in the centre or out near one of the parks or the marinas. There are also some private hotels with a little more character but not quite as central. Try entering: the 10 best Cardiff hotels trip advisor, into a search engine. There may be more than I have mentioned. X

Not exlusive at all. The more the merrier! It will be over the lunch time period, exact time not decided yet but as soon as I have numbers will finalise exact details. X

Hi dedeottie, what a lovely idea. I think the monday would be better for me. Have no idea where Henrys Cafe is but my son who lives in Cardiff will probably know. I live in Rogerstone which is Cardiff side of Newport. Count me in please.

Will do. It is looking like Monday is the best day. Im going away till next Friday so will wait till Im back and then book it in as it will be coming up to christmas and may get busy. I'm coming up to Cardiff anyway all booked got cheap train tickets AND my son got me really good bargain in hotel for 1 night. Hi Carol I am away till Friday and then I am going to finalise details. Most people prefer the Monday so Monday 12 th it will be. Looks like there will be at least 6 of us and possibly more. Glad you are all booked up. Where are your family from ? Mine are originally from Rhymney in the valleys but I lived in Lancashire till retiring 4 years ago and now live in Vale of Glamorgan. X
