Hi all, I will be sorry to miss you but snow is forecast for our area and I am not the most stable person at present so will have to cancel.
Hope you have a good meeting!

Oh dear! Sorry to hear that, Rosy. I am not sure that I am going to make it either. The problem for me is getting to the station which is five miles away and I am already thinking of alternatives to driving over a steep hill at 6am. None of them appeal much.
In A and E getting knee injury checked so can’t risk ice tomorrow !!!
Oh dear, hope you get it sorted Rosemary.....just hope Ian isn't planning to sit outside!!!
He’s booked the outside table !!!
Oh that's not at all good, Rosy - the knee I mean. Hope it is not too painful. Good idea to get to A & E ahead of the queue tomorrow though as the weather sounds quite bad.
I think it’s only supposed to be light snow so most people should be fine!!
At the moment it's mild and sunny Relim, but due to get much colder overnight but you so far to travel. Rosemary was a bit wobbly last week, so wise not to risk it and don't you take any chances either!
It's just the first five miles - and the last on the way back. Quite a significant hill to get over - unless I go the long way round.
Be cautious
Very wise Rosy. I am thinking of all the options. Walking is not one of them as I think it will still be dark - and certainly on the return trip - and Google says it will take me an hour and forty six minutes. I have a very cheap ticket (£14.50) for the 6.22 train arriving at Euston just after nine.
It's not that little one called Helvellyn is it???
Not that one! But as the road disappears down into Kendal, it has a little stretch called Beast Banks, much loved by cycle race planners for race finishes as it is a challenge going up. But I turn off before then - Kendal station is on the line to Windermere.
hope you make it, but be careful and take no chances, there will always be another day and Ian will reimburse your £14.50. Want a larf....my ticket for a 45 mile round trip is £11.50....there is no justice in this world!!!
Is that with a railcard Flapjack? I'm travelling something like 260 miles from Oxenholme to Southwark.
Shurrup!!!....no, railcard ran out last month, that would have reduced the fare to around £7.50, about half what you are paying....grrrrrrrrrrrr
so the drinks are on you!!!
I had hoped to join you all tomorrow but significant snow forecast around our area. Hopefully I will be able to meet up later in the year, best wishes and safe journey to those heading into London
It’s such a shame we have this snow forecast just when you would expect weather to be improving. I think if you aren’t feeling stable then best not to venture out and risk a fall. Currently an amber weather warning in my area too so I will be making my decision tomorrow morning- hoping it will be ok - just need the trains to keep running !!
Hope knee gets better soon.
Best not to risk it and do more damage. Ice hurts! I was looking forward to coming along to my first Nosh and Natter but was waiting to see the forecast before I set off. As I have to drive to Devon today, I've decided to leave this morning in case I don't get there.
Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next one.
Newport marathon cancelled again due to snow AGAIN! Still couldnt have come because of said SNOW.
Never mind I will see you at one of the others. For those who make it I hope you have a great time. X
