Dear all,I am really in need an answer, I've been with diagnosed advance prostate cancer 4 years ago, it's goes to lymph nodes around my prostate and in my lungs lymph nodes, all this three years I've been on lupron injection, X-tandi, and X-geva, for three years it's been pressure my PSA level below Zero, but since last September my PSA been acting out, and now my PSA level is 9.5, so... my oncologist recommend me to do radiation (just to let you know when X-tandi doesn't work with my PSA anymore my doctor change to Zytiga, and there's no changes, so... I am back with X-tandi again which is the side effects is bad, make me more exhausted), I've been on radiation for three weeks, they planned to do it for 5 weeks only for my lymph nodes around my prostate, and the reactions to my body is not good, beside my prostate cancer, I have lots of pre-existing conditions (diabetes, cirrhosis, blood pressure, and last year is the worst been in and out hospital non-stop from emergency to daily appointments, from vomiting blood and blood stools, low hemoglobin, also can't urinating, it's been roller coaster).

And last Wednesday I met new doctor, because the previous doctor will retire... and he told me after I finished the radiation in 6 weeks afterwards I have to do the chemotherapy for at least 7 months, I've been so exhausted.... my body can't take it anymore, I just really need to know is it necessary if I need to look for second opinion?, I really need make decisions fast before my radiation finished, anybody have suggestions or similar situations with me, would really appreciated.

I lived in Washington DC, just to let you know.

Thank you.

Good day . I am writing you from Bulgaria . Sorry to hear about your stugle but I am also in the same boat . I was operated 2002 in Toronto and five years later my PSA came back . Ever since than it kept on going up slow until 2020 when I got COVID-19 . That is when hell came to my body . My PSA started going up so fast it went from 12 to 195 in a year . The doctors kept telling me not to worry about it since 20 years had gone by . They said it is the covid and not to worry . I couldn't just lay around and do nothing so I called Toronto and the doctor who operated me went nuts . He told me to have a PET PSMA SCAN done right way and to call him back . So I did and guess what ? Things were not good with mets. all over my pelvic . That was October 2023 and since than i have been on Xtandi 160 mg and a injection of Reseligo-10.8 mg every three months injected in my stomach . It has been 16 months since than and my PSA came down to 0.42 . The side effects were so bad that I was going nuts and wanted to quit the whole thing . Anyway I stopped taking Xtandi since end of January and monday I am going for blood test and PSA test to see where things are at . I have not had radiation or chemo and I hope I never have to . Good luck to both of us . God bless

have you looked into Jane McLelland’s work?

Her book How to Starve Cancer is a similar approach I had with Dr Myers.

I had stage 4 Gleason 9/10 Mets from thigh to skull and have been in remission for 7 years.

Low fat, low sugar diet helps.
