Final Pluvicto treatment completed

My husband had his 6th and final Pluvicto treatment on January 19th. I don't attend these appointments but the Nuclear Doctor said his bone marrow looked good and labs were steady. I took lemon Squares for the staff for the follow up Scan. Scans have shown little changes after all these months but the QOL has been good and for us, that's the most important thing. We are home in Mexico and hope to get as much out of this treatment as possible. The MO agreed but mentioned chemo as a possible "next step" and or "biopsy " when progression returns. For the moment, we are happy to have two whole months at least without a return to the US! A trip to Puerto Morelos on the Riviera Maya next month and Warm weather! The man, looks good though he's mighty thin. Time for some Mexican Food! Stay strong!

Two months out of the US sounds great. Are you accepting visitors? My mouth is watering thinking of the lemon bars. Almost the ideal food in my opinion :) Crunchy, sweet, lemony, what could be better. I had not had one in a long time and then my husband made them, just from a Trader Joe's box mix but they sure were good.

I just heard an expert at ASCO say that if the marrow is doing well and it is working they often go to 10 treatments.

Great that you made it to 6 and scans looking good! I made it to 5 treatments, 6 cancelled because of low neutrophils, but my scans were looking pretty good already before the 5th and QOL good.

Wishing you the best. Looks like a welcome break. My memories of the people of Mexico are full of the hospitality, congeniality, they showed on my work trips there.

My wife and I are like you in that how I feel is more important than PSA and scans. 4 years into this and about a year ago I came to that surmise. I've never had low PSA under treatment (except for almost a year during Zytiga) and scans are always the same stable and or stable with new mets. But there have been times with rising PSA that I have felt great. I'm thankful for that.

I'll have my 5th Pluvicto in about 2 weeks. Its bringing down my PSA and only dry mouth as SE.

Unfortunately I developed Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome (speaking of losing weight)and that has messed up the QOL I would be having with the good Pluvicto results. I'm ok though. As my wife often says " I'm just so glad you're here".

Not what you're looking for?
