If you still have a prostate after RT treatment 7 years ago ( NO ADT), could a slowly rising PSA just be 'natural' as you age? Have always been curious, as when initial biopsy was ordered, the doctor said, "if you were a few months older (70), your PSA level would not have prompted further investigation".
Reason for asking is with a recent clear PSMA-PET, do we say 'thank you, Cancer gods, and ignore the rising PSA, or get more aggressive?
So act like a Canadian or an American? LOL! (BTW, loved that post--sent to nephew in Ontario)

See Bio. Things were fairly stable, then a jump with consecutive rises, but not official BCR. People in this group suggested asking for PSMA-PET, which we did and it was clear. Last recent PSA was down slightly, but the results from this lab are ALWAYS lower. (Before someone comments about not using the same lab, we split our year between north and south, and Quest is not available in both places. Also the times of year of testing are different. )
OK, I will keep up our offerings to the Cancer gods and use the Canadian approach for the time being. I also plan to continue monitoring this group for the outstanding information and insight on treating PCa. On the initial go-round was woefully ill-informed and don't want a repeat if needed. Besides, have become quite attached to you guys over the years!😊
I a familiar with the 2+ standard you mentioned but am not familiar with the +1 and consistent rising. How does one "investigate" a +1 with consistent rising? I thought 2.0 amd above was needed for a PSMA scan to be useful. THX
We limit one dumb question per customer.....However, if you've ever gotten down on one knee and asked someone if they would marry you?.....Then you're already over the limit.
