Hi all. I haven’t posted much because I don’t have many details to give. I believe my husband’s urology oncologist and urologist are reluctant to get tissue samples or operate due to risks. He was diagnosed with stage 4 PC in early March 2021. CT in the ER showed Mets on lungs and several places on bones. He was put on Firmagon/Lupron and Zytiga/prednisone. PSA number dropped from 267 to 4.4. Just found out his PSA has begun rising (4.6). Anyone know what is recommended when the PSA moves in the wrong direction?
Thank you for the valuable information you give. I’m sorry we are all in this boat.❤️

I would characterize that PSA as stable, and be celebrating over that huge PSA decrease. Consider adding docetaxel based on the recent PEACE1 trial results:
Hi Nalakrats! I'm in the triad. Docs are in WS. Also consulted with UNC Chapel Hill who agrees with current treatment. CH oncologist did recommend tissue sample to determine mutation situation. So it's possible now that PSA is rising, they may be more inclined to biopsy. Thanks for your reply!
