Which is more effective my PSA rising after being placed on Nubeqa. Prostate cancer metastasized to the bone

Nubeqa Vs Abiraterone
It's anyone's guess.
That confirms you are castrate resistant. Just switching to abiraterone may not last very long. Interposing a few cycles of BAT could restore sensitivity if you don't have bone pain from mets. I would seek out Provenge treatments now that you are eligible for it. And discuss combining it with Xofigo Ra223.
My Joe’s oncologist at OSU laughed when I asked if we might consider BAT next time his PSA starts to rise.
Joe has had 5 of 6 Pluvicto treatments. His pSA has dropped to < 1. He’ll get a PSMA PET after the 6th dose next month.
Since we presume his PSA will rise again at some point, we wanted to have a plan. It was suggested we wait till then and see what trials are available.
He’s been on Nubeqa for 6 months as well.
If you want to pursue the BAT option and yet your MO is not educated about it (as it sounds), then you can arrange a virtual consult to review with Dr. Sam Denmeade his case and advise your MO if appropriate. He supports community administered BAT when appropriate (outside of a trial.) Denmesa@jhmi.edu (At Johns Hopkins)
So far my use of Nubeqa which I started this past April has dropped my psa as follows:
P.S.A. 1.24 as of 04/03/23 Nubeqa
P.S.A. 1.49 as of 06/27/23
P.S.A. 1.26 as of 08/15/23
P.S.A. 0.80 as of 11/08/23
P.S.A. 0.72 as of 12/18/23
Note: I wish to offer my apologies if I offended anyone regarding my so-called humor about "race" or "misogyny". To me, humor is boundless and since we entered this word crying, I thought it would be a good idea to exit laughing.

After starting Nubeqa your PSA actually went up first to 1.49 and then dropped down to 1.26. Do you know why it went up first?
No..... and I didn't ask..... Was just waiting and very happy to see it drop down to 0.72 which is the lowest its ever been since it was 0.71 on 03/21/16. In my case they say "ignorance is bliss"..... Take care and a very Happy Christmas to you and yours...

I guess that Santa figured that you were not naughty but nice . Hope it stays that way. Merry Christmas.
What were you on before Nubeqa? 2016 forward?
I was and still am on 3 month Lupron......... I was on daily Casodex which was replaced by daily Nubeqa. I hope that answers your question..... if not post me again....(I'm in the middle of cleaning the chimney..... In case I get a jovial visitor tonight).....
Happy Christmas.

That's great that Lupron has worked that long. Also that you have taken steps to provide a weary traveler an easy path. Hope he landed safely; he's used to a little friction.
Would you try Casodex?
Yes, but it's not SOC.
It is cheap (you only take 50mg per day) and if it fails Abiraterone would hopefully still work. Maybe even Nubeqa, but the experience is that after a failure of Abiraterone plus prednisolone (5mg) you could get more time from Abiraterone by switching to dexamethasone and after that you could try to switch to Nubeqa if hopefully the insurance company would pay. I have myself no experience but that is what I was made to believe here.
