PSA rising

Hi to the most incredible and informative group.

I have been on hormone injections every 3 months. Abiraterone 500 mg with food and 5mg pred. psa 0.8 has increased to 0.17 in 2 months.

questions. Should I up Abiraterone to 1000mg to help lower psa or am I on the downward slope now?

Diagnosed 2019 psa 294 spread to lymph bones etc. Any advice would be extremely helpful.

Your math is a little fuzzy. From 0.8 to 0.17 is a downward trend.

Increase abiraterone to 1000 mg fasting and try changing prednisone to 0.5 mg dexamethasone.

I was getting clear scans last year but psa would not go down until I had a seizure on September 2022 they found a tumor which they were 99.9 % sure that it was meningioma but it wasn’t… it was pc metastasis to the brain , my psa at the moment is .7 but I still have my prostate . My advice would be to have a brain MRI to rule out any doubts. I been fighting MCRPC since march 2017 with psa of 227.4

I am on the same regimen but I was told to take the abiraterone after two hours or more of no food and no food after taking it for one additional hour. So, I take mine first thing in the morning and then wait an hour for breakfast, when I take the prednisone with food. I am wondering about the different recommendations myself.
