Curcumin has so many good benefits that would help to cope with ADT side effects.
Does Curcumin interefers with ADT (Lupron+Zytiga)?
Does anyone taking Curcumin while on Hormone Therapy? Please, share the information.
Thank you.

For many years. No problems
yes I did too for many years. However TA pointed out some studies showing it can artificially lower your PSA without really lowering your cancer burden. Therefore I try and stop taking it for the week before my PSA tests.
Schwah
As Schwah said, except I stop taking it like 72 hours prior to PSA reading, it does not have great bioavailability anyway so should be sufficient. Normally the day after PSA reading I have chemo, so I do not restart taking any supplement till 48-72 hours after chemo, just to avoid antioxidants to help the wrong cells!
Yes, the three best supplements to take with PCa are Curcumin, Quercetin and Berberin. All except Berberin should be paused on the day of and day after chemo.
Be careful with curcumin it can exacerbate the effects of anticoagulation meds
Being of similar age, I'm 57, diagnosed at 53, I did the same things, curcumin, green tea, broccoli, etc. I still pop the Pomi-t, glucosamine, creatine before workouts, but not for cancer reasons but for muscle and skeletal purposes, where the science is more supportive. Good luck with your treatments but do try to avoid the financial toxicity of supplements to treat PCA,
Does Curcumin and Berberine help with muscle and bone pain from Lupron shot and Abiraterone? I read that Berberine removes inflamation.
I was advised by my oncology pharmacist not to take curcumin with zytiga. Ursolic acid and glucosomine are ok.
I read that Berberine is not good for the stomach on a regular basis but Cercumin has the effect of reducing back pain & arthritis for me & how I know this is when I miss a couple of days. Tumeric 5000mg with black pepper & Bromelains in capsule form.
Yes I've taken curcumin regularly over the 5 years I've been on ADT (Lupron only). No problems.
2800 mg daily with black pepper extract. I also eat a few nuts when I take it.
I don’t know about Abiraterone as I was taken off it and put on Apalutamide. Since I am on the PSMAddition trial I have to report everything I am on or would like to take.
I really wanted to take Turmeric due to bone pain that doctor insists is due to Arthritis. Anyway, I had to call the manufacturer (Jansen) and they said “NO” to Turmeric as it blocks a certain enzyme necessary for the body to absorb Apalutamide.
Perhaps you could likewise call the manufacturer of Abiraterone and see what they say. I would be interested in what they would say.
