I favor LongVida (CurcuBrain), but Anthony from RevGenetics says that his product meets Dr. Myers criteria (as discussed some years back)."

What brand of Curcumin / Tumeric do you take and why?

And what the heck does "285x more bioavailable" mean? More available than what? And who measures that in comparison to LEF's claim of "7 times more absorbable"?
Maybe this should suffice: After you write a post, and you wish to add to it, there is a place for that. That little down arrow will allow you to make an edit. I apologize if I ticked you off.
I use CuraMed. My local paper ran an article several years ago of the benefits of taking turmeric. Several doctors were quoted in the article that CuraMed has the best formula and potency for turmeric supplements.
"NOW® CurcuBrain™ features Longvida® Optimized Curcumin, which in studies exhibits up to 65 times the bioavailability of free curcuminoids compared with generic curcumin."
Here is a question and answer from Amazon on CurcuBrain cf Jarrows:
"Question: Dont see any difference in the ingredients between this (CurcuBrain) and the much cheaper Jarrows Curcumin 95
Answer: They are different forms of the raw material. The Longvida form is a patented formula containing the natural antioxidant curcumin, and is optimized for maximum targeting of curcumin into blood and tissues. It was developed by Verdure along with a group of university neuroscientists at UCLA. Thry have clinical data which they report as consistent with human pharmacokinetics (bioavailability) data, where Longvida was at least sixty-five times more bioavailable than unformulated curcumin based on certain test markers. They also provide a finding that over the course of several bioavailability studies using different doses, is that dosing of Longvida leads to therapeutic levels of free (native or intact, NOT inactivate or glucuronidated) curcumin in the bloodstream and target tissues. If the studies are accurate, it means that the Longvida raw material (which is the name of the actual raw material) is absorbed much better, and it would take less of it to get the same result. "Longvida® Optimised Curcumin™ harnesses a patented lipid delivery technology that offers 285x greater bioavailability, 65x higher peak plasma levels, and 7x longer-lasting action than standard curcumin."
As best I can tell, it seems that igennus is the original manufacturer. They appear to charge more for their product though... at least judging from Amazon prices:
1. Oops. The real manufacturer of Longvida is Verdure Sciences. They apparently do not sell it direct to the public. Here is a list of the related research on Longvida from their website:

This Is A Must Read Before Ever Using Turmeric Again!
by DailyHealthPost November 3, 2017
Turmeric bioavailability is a key factor that’s almost always ignored when consuming this popular spice for its health benefits.
Study abstracts from the National Library of Medicine’s bibliographic database shows over 600 potential health benefits of turmeric, and/or its primary polyphenol, curcumin.
While adding turmeric to your diet is a sure way to boost your overall health, there are a few things you need to know as well as as how to improve turmeric bioavailability.
Turmeric’s Key Nutrient Isn’t Easy To Absorb
As mentioned previously, curcumin is the active compound you want to absorb from eating turmeric. However, a big problem with turmeric is that curcumin isn’t easily absorbed (1).
Various animal and clinical studies reveal that the concentrations of curcumin in blood plasma, urine, and peripheral tissues, if detectable at all, are extremely low regardless of dosage size (2). And low absorption rate will not give you the health benefits of this medicinal food.
How to Skyrocket Turmeric Bioavailability
1. Always Mix With Black Pepper
“If people are given a bunch of turmeric curcumin, within an hour there’s a little bump in the level in their blood stream. We don’t see a large increase because our liver is actively trying to get rid of it. But what if the process is suppressed by taking just a quarter teaspoon’s worth of black pepper? Then you see curcumin levels skyrocket. The same amount of curcumin consumed, but the bioavailability shoots up 2000%. Even just a little pinch of pepper—1/20th of a teaspoon—can significantly boost levels. And guess what a common ingredient in curry powder is besides turmeric? Black pepper (3).”
2. Add a Healthy Fat to Turmeric
Turmeric needs to be combined with a fat in order for your body to fully absorb it and experience its amazing health benefits.
When eaten with healthy fats, such as coconut, ghee or olive oil, curcumin can be directly absorbed into the bloodstream through the lymphatic system thereby in part bypassing the liver.
This is very important because less curcumin is exposed to metabolic enzymes and remains in a free form allowing it to stay in the body longer (5).
3. Heat Increases Turmeric Bioavailability
“The potent ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, which, despite its power, is not easily absorbed by the body without assistance. This is where the sauté pan and a little warm oil come into play,” Dr. Sukumar explains.
“I use it [turmeric] in every sauté, just a quarter teaspoon, a half teaspoon is enough. But you don’t have to use it sparingly – use it lavishly.”
“The better way to take it, I feel, is to use it in your cooking very extensively. If you have any sauté, just sprinkle it in. The moment you heat oil and add turmeric to it, it now becomes completely bioavailable to you.”
Bottom Line
To maximize the effectiveness of the turmeric you’re eating always make sure to do these 3 things:
1.Activate turmeric by heating it up.
2.Boost turmeric’s absorption by 2,000% by combining it with some freshly ground black pepper.
3.Mix turmeric with a healthy fat to bypass the liver.
Dosage guidelines according to the University of Maryland Medical Center (6):
Turmeric is the ground root which contains all the curcuminoids. This is best taken as "golden paste". The ground root is gently heated with coconut (usually) oil and freshly g black pepper.
Curcumin is a 95% (usually) extract, the best use of this this the 8 week curcumin cancer protocol.
For much more, and much more expert, information, the Facebook Turmeric Users and Turmeric Support are excellent.
Personally, I use golden paste from The Golden Paste company, for Turmeric capsules, Turmeric Vitality and for 95% curcumin LLS Curcumin 95.
These matter to me as this this is the core of my "treatment".
I am not "on the take" from these supplers: these are my genuine recommendations from my research, and they are approved after careful scrutiny by those that run the FB pages.
