I am looking to upgrade the effectiveness of my Curcumin intake. I have been using Life Extension Super Bio-Curcumin, 400 mg at a dosage of 2 capsules (800 mg total per day). I have had no problems or side effects with this, but notice my urine is extremely yellow at times? Current thoughts on the most effective brand and dosage as of June 2017?

I was wondering about MetaCurcumin???
I take the Turmeric that Costco sells that says it provides 1000mg in two capsules. It also has black pepper that I have read is supposed to aid in absorbsion. My GP commented on the fact that I took it and that his wife, who is a nurse, took it for everything that ailed her, but in the powder form. I've noticed no side effects and it is supposed to help with cancer somewhat. I need all the help I can get. The dark urine is that you probably need more water.
Here in South Africa Solal is marketing a Curcumin capsule that has an oil base. They claim it has a 180% better absorption.
Solal also has a capsule containing Curcumin, Beta - silosterol, Lycopene, Selenium and Piperine. The piperine (black pepper) is to enchance the Curcumin absorption. I drink it with a healthy oil like flaxseed.
Dr Myers had me taking around 8000 units of the super bio curcumin but it started to cause me stomach problems. He then told me to take 1 capsule of lecithin with the curcumin to prevent removal by the liver. As soon as I did this the pain went away. You can get lecithin just about anywhere and it's cheap. It only comes in one dosage, 1200units per capsule.
I've been taking NOW's CurcuBrain since it was recommended on this site. (I think it was Patrick O'Shea, but you could search to make sure.)
As Neal said above, I'm a fan of CurcuBrain. It is actually Longvida:

You might also consider the RevGenetics product that Tom mentioned:

The LEF product is unimpressive.
With the two products above, I would feel that one cap would be providing a significant dose. You can get cheaper products - you can even use turmeric - but how much of a poorly bioavailable option constitutes a significant dose.
Not that I am knocking turmeric. It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine forever. If you like the idea of the tea, you can get a lot into your body throughout the day. & turmeric is cheap if bought by the pound. Penzey's have a 3 cup bag (11.4 oz) for $14.29. An Indian grocery store might be cheaper though.
But I'm sticking with CurcuBrain because the brain study showed impressive bioavailability:
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/252...
If it can pass the blood-brain barrier, it might get to tumors.

Thanks for the info maxlifespan. Will keep to Curcumin.
I was taking Terry Naturally CuraMed. Several years ago there was an article in the medical section of my local paper on the health benefits of curcumin and the doctors recommended this brand due to the high quality of the product. Its not cheap!

I was taking if for many years, but stopped when I started on Cabazitaxel (Jevtana) with carboplatin. The cancer center nutritionist said that curcumin reduced the effectiveness of the chemo drug. Has anyone else on chemo been told this?
I'm taking curcumin powder from Life Enhance Alternative Medicine Clinic in Houston TX. My medonc sent me there. Tel. 713-661-8822
Very helpful, thanks to everyone!
Who? About what?
How far does your recommendation go? What about all the wonderful dishes from India, Pakistan, Thailand, China, etc. spiced with turmeric? Thanks for your help.
Several searches on the product you mentioned turned up nothing, but CurQLife by Earth's Creation does appear on Amazon and elsewhere. Product names do change and evolve over time. Does this look like the product you're familiar with?
