MRI results are in !!!

Good day to all of you My Brothers.

Got results today from recent MRI due to bone pain in my upper back . The results say the pain is not because of Cancer or Mets but because of old age setting in . I'm relieved to hear that Cancer hasn't compressed my spine or fractured it, as a matter of fact it reads that Mets have substantially improved Doctors words not mine. Anyway just thought I would share a little good news for a change. Never give up never surrender. Leo ( Zytiga, Eligard is what I have been treated with one year now)

I also do kidney clean-up in the backyard. Almost every day.

Haha..what’s that?

That neck sounds painful . I have minor issues in comparison. My isssues are left hip degenerating and L-5 down disc disappearing. I’ve been losing 15% the last two bone scans . I’m told it’s within normal range..My yearly scan is in May . 3&1/2 yrs clear and no Psa . Should I be on Xgeva or Prolia ,? or what for bones, ? or nothing at all ? . I fear the possible problems associated with it, mainly jaw or teeth problems . What would you do ? Is xgeva good or bad?

Sxrxrnr1 profile image
Sxrxrnr1 in reply to

I have been on monthly Xgeva for 2 years. Jaw issues are serious when they occur, but also quite rare. Can also be monitored for by your dentist. Implants and tooth extraction can be problematic,,,let your Dentist know you are having injections. Do some google research on Xgeva side effects and go from there.

in reply to Sxrxrnr1

Thanks. Dr and I discussed it alittle. Depends on my test. I’m in no hurry to do anymore pharma. Stuff sounds horrible. Thank you

Bathe in anything that is not bad news . keep rolling..

I’m doing the bone density .. thanks

I Understand . Thanks

Greetings Nalakrats! I"ve tried a few Aloe supplements including the Walmarts one sold there. I had to toss out the Walmart Aloe. It was the worse tasting in my opinion even when I tried to cut it.

The BEST Aloe supplement I found that tastes the best and was pure/fresh as heck was aloe1.com/ produced Dr. Haley. I met him at a Raw Food Retreat last year and because it was a Florida based company near me, I switched over to ordering from Aloe1 once per month. Worth every penny and easy to drink/taste. I drink 8-oz per day straight without cutting.

I purchase the four 58-oz containers at a time to reduce the cost. It comes shipped in a cooler box and the aloe liquid is frozen solid. You then thaw out as needed. There are NO chemical preservatives like the Walmart brand or the others on the market. Aloe1 is pure as heck.

As a side note. I live near hippocratesinst.org health institute in Florida. They did some comparisons of blood test samples of their guest who were asked to drink Aloe everyday while at their three week stay adapting and learning to eat a plant based diet. They discovered that every single guest who drank the Aloe1 while also on the plant-based diet had a significant improvement in their blood work after three weeks compared to those that were only on a plant-based diet. As a result, they made it part of their supplement nutritional regiment.

Hello Leo2634 and others. This information is for your consideration. I have three herniated disc in my lower back that three years ago I almost had back surgery. So, I know/can imagine how painful it must be for you as it was for me. Damm! That was a 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. :-(

Anyway, I'm a Gleason-8, Stage-4 with five bone mets. My medical issues with the back pain are history now WITHOUT surgery in my case. I found a chiropractor who had a computer based device called the Pro Adjuster: youtube.com/results?search_...

It's painless and takes 10-minutes per treatment. It will adjust your vertebrae that are out of place giving your some relief from the pain. The doc will show you on the computer screen the current curve in your spine and where the problem(s) are and as you are treated you can see/feel the improvements.

To me, that visual understanding and feedback is reassuring as you are getting better AND are then able to associate the pain/relief with the cause and not just take your doctor's recommendation to take Aleve for the pain or a surgeon trying to cut you open to explore. My orthopedic doctor that I went to told me, "There is nothing you can do but surgery. We will then be able to know if it can be corrected it. No guarantees!" Are you kidding me.

My wife who has an old fracture in her spine just started last week getting the same Pro Adjuster treatments and she is now a believer herself that is works. We have an adjustment appointment today. Prior, she was afraid to let anyone touch her back/spine. She saw me get off my cane three years ago and stop taking 800-mg. of Ibuprofen four times per day to take the edge off that pain. It took three Pro-Adjuster adjustments in the first week to do that.

I also have convince her to take algaecal.com/ to rebuild her bone density without such toxic drugs as Xgeva. No way for me! Do yourself a favor and check out the Bone Builder Pack. I also take D3/K2 liquid drops to make sure the calcium goes to the right body parts.

Just my opinions. But, everything I mention or discuss I personally have used/use/done for myself. Not theory, heresay or read in a book. I'm pleased with my decisions that helped/helping me get better. Wishing you better health.

Chiropractic adjustments and yoga. If you can gravity boots.

My day starts in bed. My feet over the end of a stiff mattress, my hands at the top and a little stretching while waking. It is a delicious sensation. Light weight, high rep deadlifts a couple times a week concentrating on form.

Curcumin and ginger are helpful for pain and our --other thing!

Bought and extra gum mattress and I always walked in the morning even before the beast. ADT takes its toll on you regardless but I'm alive.

The quinolones will destroy you too! Bone scan in August 2013 showed possible inflammation in lower back. One biopsy using quinolones.

Bone scan February 2017 showed degradation of both shoulders and lower back after 6 courses of quinolones, 4 biopsies, one ablation and one week long course of Levaquin one week after the ablation. Most biopsies combined 6, 500 mg Cipro pills over 3 days as well as an intramuscular shot of Levaquin just prior to the biopsy. I imagine I got the shot of Levaquin before the ablation but I was "sleeping"!

I nearly lost the ability to use my right shoulder. Ultrasound and rehab and diet. I lifted that arm every day with the other to reach each bottle of supplements and give it a range of motion. Then he put more quinolones in me for another biopsy after I was diagnosed by a chiropractor that it was quinolones that had attacked an old, long healed injury. She is experienced and in her early 60's. She has seen this before. I called my uro's office and reported it. Maybe they are hesitant to try another drug. The repeated use of quinolones has certainly caused me harm, years of pain which is still ongoing, expense and anxiety.

Walking won't help much. Yoga and stretching. Any hanging exercises you can do such as chin ups, pull ups hanging leg raises or just hanging. A VKR can be used for leg raises with ankle weights. Dips with ankle weights. Use a hyperextension. If you are a gym member and can get someone to spot you gravity boots are helpful. If not perhaps a Teeter Hang up. Again, chiropractic is helpful to assure proper alignment.

Any exercise should be started gently and a little at a time until your body becomes accustomed to the work.

APC and treatments take a toll on us host. It’s a greedy bastard well tuned to eating our strength and virility up ...when I first thought myself dead in my initial grapple with APC I recalled “ For whom the bell tolls”. The bell tolls for me .. until the final bell is rung I’m taking it day by day , one round at a time. Lucky to be breathing air.. Enjoy today

in reply to Currumpaw

No big thing ..also use the curcumin and ginger daily. My hat off to you for doing high rep deadlifts.. chiro and yoga great .. like your style.

Great to hear your back pain is only from ageing. I have increasing lower back pain and stiffness. Probable bone scan in March if MO remembers. I'm not going to remind her. Never thought I would be glad to say "Great. My back only hurts because I'm an old goat." Sounds like you and I can be like Currumpaw and just hang around. Enjoy.

Go to the gym

For non cancer pain

Evidence for surgery for localized pain is crap.

For referred pain is close to crap but for a small sub group ok.
