I guess it’s dependent on how each individual views the situation. I see this as a life threatening disease. It’s a mean disease, it’s cancer. Since cancer is harsh, so are some of the treatments. I am sure it has been explained to you that testosterone feeds PC; in order to slow the cancer’s growth the body’s production of testosterone must cease. This explains your feelings on PC.
We are not alone. Look at women with breast or cervical cancer - I am sure they have somewhat similar feelings in “becoming” a man.
The question you need to ask yourself is that are you man enough to accept the treatment in order to survive? Or would you just forego treatment and die a painful death? THAT’S the reality of the situation. Consult your doctors, find a support group, please obtain assistance in making your decisions. Best of luck.
I chopped off the balls IMMEDIATELY then had my treatment, accepted the offer to try a never been use Immuno-Injection on a Unique Eunuch like myself and began Testosterone injections shortly after.
Not trying to fool Mother Nature but instead keeping the PCa cells guessing what the hell is going on. Just had another T injection 11 hours ago.
Biopsy performed by Urologist, he calls and said Very Aggressive PCa and need additional scans. I'm a *worse case scenario* person so did research and saw ADT would be required, I do not care for drugs with untold side effects so the Orchiectomy was better and I had it done.
Did not care for treatment plan that urologist had in mind and instead saw Dr. Onik who at consultation questioned my orchiectomy choice and at that meeting said he would prescribe *T* injections once his treatment was completed.
I said fine and began the *T* injections once he completed my GL10 treatment along with his experimental Immunotherapy Injection. I've been monitoring my numbers and doing my own BAT protocol since 2016.
73yo in July and went out for a 25 mile bicycle ride to watch the SpaceX launch this morning at a good location since I'm 90 miles across the state from Canaveral shortly after 2AM.
I guess the same could be said for any life threatening disease, along with the entropy of the aging process, that it’s natures way of getting rid of us all to make way for something/someone else.
But I cannot stress enough the benefits of weight training, no matter how fatigued we feel.
It actually reduces the fatigue along with the other symptoms,.
It also reduces the long term side effects of ADT.
The other thing is to be fanatical about watching our weight. ADT has a tendency to make us gain weight, and of course, fatigue makes it so easy to slip into a weight gaining life style.
Well, for what it’s worth, here’s what’s worked for me.
Three things.
First I’ve changed to a plant based diet. I just occasionally have meat or dairy. I find I can really fill up on veges without putting on weight. And we’ve found some incredible non meat dishes.
I found that this also Brough my blood pressure down to a healthy level.
Second, I avoid any kind of processed food. They’re nearly always full of salt, sugar and useless calories.
Third, I’ve progressively reduced the size of my evening meal. One thing that’s helped for me on this, is that my wife bought plates about half way in size between dinner and bread and butter plates.
Weird, I know, but somehow, psychologically, the smaller plate looks more full and kind of trick me. 🤗
I now eat about half the amount I used to at dinner time, which also helps me sleep better.
And the thing is, all these strategies are anti cancer too.
