Bruising?

I have been taking Eliquis for more than 8 years for my AFib. Because the drug is a "blood thinner" I have been prone to moderate bruising, especially in the arms, whenever I work in the yard or accidently knock into something. Six months ago my MO switched me from Nubequa to Zytiga plus prednisone. Since then the bruising has become much more of a problem and my arms are covered with bruise markings. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Just replying with a "I am sympathetic to your situation" but have no answers regarding a solution to the drug causation since I take no drugs; however, I still bruise AND tare skin (bleeding like crazy) very easily. Couple of days ago I bumped into a doorway in my home with long sleeve shirt on and STILL TORE THE SKIN. Some cinnamon stopped the bleeding then honey and bandage and wait for the next BANG.

Others will help. 👍 Good luck.

Deeply involved in chemical warfare, my VA dermatologist recommended arm/hand sleeves an aqufor. Works for me most of the time.

I have bleeding with apixiban (eliquis) but to a lesser degree. What does your cardiologist say?

Cardiologist doesn't want to reduce the eliquis dosing. MO sympathetic but says the prednisone and zytiga are unfortunately necessary. I plan on asking whether half dose of prednisone will work ok.
