Does anyone know about use and getting it in Georgia? Been on Xtandi for 2 years now but looking for other options to help with sleep.

I Use Cannabis every night to sleep. I take a 10mg gummy before bed and then hit an 88% disposable pen. The pen puts me to sleep and the gummy gets me to sleep. Never makes me groggy in the AM. As far as THC in Georgia. U may want to take a road trip to neighboring state to get some. I have a friend that has hers mailed to her which is highly illegal but has never been an issue

I’ve used (vaped) high THC cannabis quite a bit and with it I’d get up once to P. Without it 3 to 5 times.

be sure to check with your medical provider rules as well . For example, I have Kaiser and am on their pain management program. Kaiser absolutely bans cannabis and you have to sign a “ contract “ that you won’t use a huge list of drugs / substances…… cannabis top on the list. Your provider may check your bloodwork and or urine tests for a list of substances that you aren’t even aware of. It’s common SOP at my Kaiser , for example. Flunking one of those tests can wreak havoc in your treatment life. I live in California where you can walk into corner stores and buy it without restrictions except age …. Like booze. That doesn’t matter to Kaiser, they claim federal rules.

Peachtree street in Atlanta is where it all started in the south east USA. Peachtree street and Piedmont Park . Heavily mobbed up, it was the Wild West of underground fun in the ‘60s and ‘70s . I once had a “ crash pad “ there .

I visited my cousin in the suburbs when I was 16 and 17 in the early 70's and we would go to Peachtree st. Some of my albums are from Peachtree records and I think I still have a Peachtree Record T shirt.

We watched Blazing Saddles in the theatre in downtown and the line went around the block. Joints being passed thru the line. Always remembered that as seeming pretty progressive or out there for the time period.

Yea I got lost driving there to my cousins. A 24 hour straight drive from midwest. Needed gas on outskirts of town and got the stare down from workers or families who were on the hood of junk cars drinking moon shine off to the side of the gas station. Probably lucky I made it with my hair half way down my back. Tie died shirt.

Do you have a palliative doctor? If not, seek one out! My Winship team included an oncologist, radiologist and palliative doctor. They help with pain, side effects, etc…

you might want to check, I’ve been on Xtandi now for 6 1/2 years. Been told that pot makes the Xtandi quit working. 😢

like TA said, you get a card from your primary . $400 in Fl. I used it for awhile but found better sleep with a combo. 1-5mg time release melatonin, 1 Performance Sleep (Amazon), 1-300 mg gabapenten. I sleep better than on pot.

we’re in Ga. Just filled out the form again for the 2-year license to have the card for cannabis oil. You can only use the oil for drops under the tongue here. Pallitive Care at Emory handles his pain management and they gave us the form to fill out. They said we will hear from DeKalb Department of health in a couple weeks to pick up the license for $25. They gave us two companies we can order it from online. Still can’t buy it in Georgia because it’s tied up in the courts. He had used it in the past and found it did help but for some reason quit using it. We’re going to go back to trying it again.

Gummies 5mg Indica 2 hours before bed. Anymore and I get horrible cotton mouth. Great sleep and pee less. Some nights never need to urinate. One thing I’ve learned not all gummies are the same. Nevada and Arizona B+ California A+

I have the same experience with sleep gummies. I take a THC sleep gummy with 5 mg each of Indica, CBD, and CBN, along with passionflower. Typically I get through the night without having to get up to pee. And not having to get up makes for a much better sleep quality.

I typically take it right before bedtime. My sleep problem isn’t falling asleep. I do that easily so I don’t need the gummy to fall asleep. My problem is waking up and not being able to fall back asleep. My thought is that taking the gummy at bedtime allows the effect longer into the night when I need it most.

Good information, I have experimented with chewing when gone and chewing until able to swallow. It seems to last longer towards the end of the night when I swallow more of the gummy. All I know good sleep and not being groggy is key to help my body to rejuvenate and help fight PC. Hopefully our governments both Federal and State will offer more and more of the cannabis products and not be oppressive to the citizens in other states. Out west we’re in pretty good shape. Calling cannabis a gateway drug is absolutely ridiculous. The federal government list cannabis as a scheduled 1 drug along with Ecstasy Heroin LSD Peyote. How absurd!!

Agreed. I live in Vermont. Recreational and medical cannabis is legal, though pretty heavily taxed.

Seems that Georgia is CBD drops only you put under tongue. Not sure if there is any THC in it. Doubt if they will ever change the law here as we are also in a dry county up in North Mtns.

I just turned 74 (and I feel great...)😎

My # 1 sleep aid for the past 12 years is 0. 5 mg of Xanax (alprazolam), with my doctors approval.

No, I don't suffer from anxiety ( although 30 years ago, I thought I did and really didn't.) Kicked myself in the ass and dealt with it!

However, I recall that X made me drowsy and my Doc agreed to go with this instead of other sedatives.
