High liver enzymes - darolutamide

Have been on darolutamide / Lupron for about 6 months. Liver enzymes started to rise in November and most recent blood sample is at 175 ALT and 85 AST.

There are a number of posts here with Abiraterone and high liver enzymes but I don’t see much reference to daro and high enzymes.

Doc is having me cut dose in half for a week and do a recheck (current dose = 1200 mg/day).

The good news is my PSA is undetectable. Want to stay the course since it’s working.

Will update as I get results.

Darolutamide is metabolized in the liver and it may be associated with elevation of the liver enzymes.

One interaction is with statins, particularly Crestor (rosuvastatin). The dose of statins should be adjusted when taking darolutamide.

thanks tango. No statins for me. Doc is fairly sure the liver enzymes related to darolutamide.

Im on Darolutamide for 8 months now and no elevated liver enzymes. Are you taking lots of supplements? That caused my enzymes to rise before I went on ADT

What dose are you on KocoPr? The 2x300 mg for breakfast plus 2x300 mg for dinner (1200 mg/day)?

No supplements. I am doing debulking radiation (just completed 18th session - 2 more to go!). I'm doing the recommended low fiber diet while on it.

Liver enzymes started to rise before radiation start. Will post results next week after being on the half dose.
