Trelstar Mixject

I received an insurance denial today for Trelstar Mixject. I was to have an Eligard shot in early December, but Dr office called the day before to reschedule for January 3rd. I was never told that they wanted to take me off Eligard, and why would they change if it is working?

Mainly, I have never heard, nor read anything about Trelstar before. When I looked it up on google, it stated it was for palliative treatment when Eligard and Firmagon fail. The Eligard seems to be working just fine.

This confuses me because my PSA is still <0.01 as of September 2022. No Pain nor any known changes. Can anyone shed a little light on Trelstar? Thanks

Hi have been eligard for over 17 years and no problems with the drug. However it stopped being effective on its own but continued to be used together with chemo for 2 years and xtandi 5 years. Psa now 0.04 after 17 years

It looks that triptorelin is the most effective in reducing testosterone under castrate level according to Wikipedia:
