The RO - Dr. Mariscal, whom I met a few years ago at a ZERO 5k in Bakersfield, wants an MRI guided biopsy first. Then he can see if there's anything actionable🤔
I then went up to the chemo floor and was able to get seen an hour 1/2 earlier. So, depending on when I can get that biopsy, the radiation may not happen till next year.
I lucked out again cuz they put me into a chemo suite again. "Movin' on up to the Eastside"
Chemo went well, the actual input takes an hour. Yes, I did squats, leg lifts, scissor kicks, and I also danced to : youtu.be/AGSuuS_n24Q The nurses said they dug my music
I took a 5k hike tonight for the Lil Great Wall virtual walk and that sky was gorgeous. Was better in person
QoL can be just right outside your door

sounds like you are about ready to go there buddy …. I’m looking forward to your prep info and taste tests of course. Pictures too.
the hammer says she thinks she can do paella in her large cast iron skillet .
We are making our final cioppino this weekend , just need clams in the shell ( already have clam meats ) and a chunk of halibut to prepare. I’m taking the etrike up to the market this afternoon to get the goods. I’ll try to remember pictures this time yayahahahaya. Moving on to paella next.
What better QOL item for us croakers than exploring culinary delights. On the road at exotic destinations or right there at home. Culinary fun is a dramatic QOL booster. Good family togetherness event too. It’s all good bruddah. I’m of the belief that positive uplifted attitudes will always help the medicine go down and work better … just say’in.
alright buddy …. Let’s get that chorizo cooking , looks like you are ready. I’ll be interested in how well that rice did. Package says it the right kind .
When you get it finished, I’ll fly one of my drones down and get some take out yayahahahaya. ( only goes 45-55 mph tho )
I just got back from the Asian Market, seems like they have everything…. It’s a BIG market.
Fresh clams , they have a big aquarium behind a glass window … clams beside the lobsters and some kind of smallish fish. That halibut will become a pile of 1.5 “ X 2” squares ….a little later.
❤️❤️❤️
Fresh clams and halibut… fish is fresh too, cut this morning.
Only had Peala a few times. But I had it every night of 4 nights in Barcelona on a work trip at the hotel. The whole nine yards. Everyone comes out for dinner around 11 pm.
Love Chorizo but none on hand however reminds me I took advantage of a sale and now the Smoked Kielbasa, no nitrates, the good stuff might expire soon.
Wife and I better plan on some "snacky food" The Kielbasas' in a toasted brioche hot dog bun, Japanese yellow mustard, and my wife's homemade mild sauerkraut.
Yum!! I love pretty much all kinds of sausages. In Hawaii, we have Portuguese sausage or linguica in mild and hot. Hawaii was and still is the amalgamation of a ton of cuisines due to the import of mostly Agricultural workers: Chinese, Filipinos, Samoans, Japanese, Koreans et al
That's the truth. My worldly travels individually included all those countries (except Samoa). But I would love to go to Hawaii (never have) The idea of that amalgamation is something I can relate to. Gotta be otherworldly.
Cooking, hiking, travelling are all part of the QoL that Kaliber and I have been advocating for our members. Slowly those initial ripples have coalesced as more post their QoL pix
I keep eating it, but I’m starting to get a fin growing out of my back. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. Gonna take a cooking break, then on to paella next …. after I get your tips and info n yours.
Lol, drone delivered, something Amazon is trying to do😂
That seafood looks yummy, I found an Asian Seafood place a bit closer than the 99 Ranch in Van Nuys.
The photos show fresh fish in ice
And those rice cooking instructions say 4 to 1 liquid to rice, that's quite a bit. Might take a while to make the Soccarat, the burnt, crispy bottom
Lol, Imma have a burnt, crispy bottom after Southern Area radiation 😜
Might be short on time, as I'm gonna meet pts at Red House BBQ, they are selling Tri Tip Sammies to benefit the family of their tragically killed 14 yr old😭
The fundraiser that I started is already 2.5 times the original goal💙
man, you are having a food orgy yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. Tri tip, paella . See what a good guy you are …… all that positive karma should pay off bigtime … you deserve it.
I was speaking to pts, telling them to show up for the Tri Tip sammies on Sunday, and I said that I am so fortunate to be here 8 years later with a #stageivpca diagnosis when others didn't even get a chance to say goodbye or anything, they were just here one minute then gone
So, with whatever time I have left, I wanna do good positive things, even something lil like make a pt laugh, hold the door opened, say good evening to others on my hikes and post QoL stuff here.
being a dentist, you’ve already spent your life in the humanities helping people with their dental health. Amping it up , especially now, is pretty kewl.
Randy you are having a positive effect on me. I need to do more to give back. Let me re-phrase that... I will do more to give thanks for the time I have been given.
Yass! Brother, as I said above, I've been given extra time, and esp after that 14 yr old Kaedin was killed - I gotta do more positive, uplifting in my lil world whilst still here
if you have some of that chorizo left… make some huevos rancheros and pour a thick line of that red pepper salsa right down the middle. Doesn’t get much better than chorizo huevos rancheros in the morning with that cuppa kona coffee.
I love making fresh salsas and we have a famous tortilla chip factory here in town. Most of all , lately in Mexican food I love to make ceviche and have made many different kinds , several ways. Seafood my favorite , of course yayahahahaya yayahahahaya
Shrimp ceviche with Hornitos Plata shooters. Lime wedges, lime sea salt ( for back of hand ) needed too. In the picture I squeezed the limes into a second shooter glass.
I sometimes have Dos Equis instead of Hornitos or both depending upon if I feel naughty that day yayahahahaya.
speaking of that … dunno how much time you lived in Hawaii, but have you heard of Sunrise Farms ? For decades I bought my kona and kona peaberry direct from that farm. Eventually Starbucks came along and made him an offer he couldn’t say no to. Left a big clientele of connoisseurs swinging in the wind. We took his whole crop every year. Later he got back to me ( I spent a fortune there ) but I had moved on to a new mega supplier in western Canada.
Born In Hawaii in 1957 before it became a state in 1959. Left in 1975 for College, then Dental school. Not familiar with Sunrise Farms. This one: hawaiiorganic.org/marketpla...
if your PSA is above 5 or even better 10 you could ask your MO for a liquid biopsy and proceed with the SBRT of your prostate as soon as possible instead of waiting to do the real MRI guided biopsy of your prostate.
can you please check if your SUV max is really above 80 or is it a mistake?
