Had #16 Cabazitaxel this pm and sch'd a Radiation Onco appt

So, I had met Dr. Mariscal RO at a ZERO 5k event in Bakersfield a few years ago. Yesterday, I emailed him the PSMA scan impressions. He responded with a 😃 and then wrote that he's been advocating radiation for awhile. So, right before my Chemo, I made a consult appt with him on 10/28.

Whilst there, a female Tehachapi patient came up and spoke to me. She has Stage 3 Breast Ca and was there for radiation, and her MO is the same as mine. We chatted for a bit, then went up to do the chemo. What a crazy small world it can be!

Had last Lupron on 06/03/22 and AIS never booked a three month appt, so I got it today. Maybe that was part of the PSA rise. Hmmm

They gave me a private suite as all of the chemo bays were occupied. I did my squats, leg workouts and then danced to Slow dancing, swaying to the music, Celebration, We are Family, Gimmie the Night, September , Boogie Wonderland, and Ain't no stopping us now (our anthem)

Thanks for another uplifting post! I love the video, I remember as a child dancing to the song (one of many) in front of the TV! "Mahmmm, Cheryl's at it again! Make her move!" Never stop dancing! Wishing you all the best and easy treatment, my husband did 12 weeks radiation and hopefully yours will be like his! 🕊️🙏❤️🕯️

Lol, that is so awesome about you dancing to that video💙

All my 5 kids were subject to my loving Musicals.

My #4 son, a Marine was in Afghanistan and the Officer said that they were going to "River City" a not good place.

My son responded that it was from The Music Man when the shyster Prof Hill told the folks in Gary Indiana that the kids were headed to Trouble in River City cuz a pool hall was gonna opened 😂

So glad that hubby did well with radiation

I'm hopeful that mine goes easily too

Actually I danced in front of the TV when all the musicals came on...I guess I thought I was going to be Ginger Rogers one day! For some reason my other 7 siblings didn't appreciate their view being blocked! LOL!

Much gratitude and respect to your son for his service...🕊️

Funny story about "River City"...a pool hall is such a den of iniquity! LOL!

BTW, did a slow 2 miler this pm. It's getting a wee bit cooler at 4000ft in Tehachapi 😊

Cooler, but still 1000 ft above the smog....

Yes, and Tehachapi is pretty windy thus :clui.org/ludb/site/tehachap....

FYI, I'm participating in a few of these Virtual hikes theconqueror.events/all-cha... , to keep me motivated to get out and do weight bearing exercises to offset the osteopenia that I already have. And stave off ADT induced cardiac issues. Plus hiking is also an anti depressant

Have you experienced any neuropathy with so much Jevtana? I've had nine and my feet are numb and tingling. Any carboplatin, or just Jevtana?

Hi, never had any neuropathy even during the 15 Taxoteres in 2015, and maybe because the very fine capillaries have been fully opened up with the marathons that I've done. I exercise during the sessions, doing leg workouts, squats, and I even danced in the chemo suite. My theory is to circulate the chemo and get oxygen into those capillaries.

I tried to have the MO add Carboplatin, but he declined, despite the steady rise in the PSA. I have two more sessions and then prolly start radiation. Have my cons with the RO on 10/28
