Recurrence after 2.5 year break from ADT

This is a quick note to thank all of the members here who have shared their experiences and knowledge. After a 2.5 year break from Casodex and Lupron, my husband's PSA started increasing in August 2022. It's still low but is now at 2.9. His oncologist ordered several scans including a PSMA.

As results are now posted on the patient portal as soon as they're released, I did a lot of reading- much of it suggested here. Many men here talk about advocating for yourself.

I've learned so much from you all.

Paul definitely has a bone met at L3 as well as recurrence in prostate bed. There are questionable inguinal nodes that are enlarged as well as pelvic wall nodes to be followed.

Because of your knowledge and my research based on what I've read here, I felt educated and empowered when we met with the MO this past week. I knew the questions to ask and understood the discussion. There's biopsies and genomic testing to be done before a treatment plan is in place. I'll come back here when we know more.

I have continued to read posts here even as Paul was in remission. I am so grateful for all of you. Sincerely, Mary
