Hi all, So recommendation from my oncologist is an upcoming trial with an oral agent, HIF-2a, that will be opening in the coming weeks. Although my PSA is clearly rising (0.47), she doesn't suggest more aggressive treatment yet (ADT or ADT+) since many drugs and therapies remain available, and multiple scans have not detected anything.
Will collect other opinions and share any other insights.
Appreciate any opinions, or if anyone else here knows about HIF-2a / Belzutifan. Apparently it has been effective against other types of cancer.

No I do not have VHL. I don’t have details on the trial yet as it it just being finalized. Have been told details will be available in the next few weeks.
Seems to make some sense if one has the VHL mutation and has a solid tumor, hence more susceptible to hypoxia. Seems a wild-card For BCR PC with negative scans. Have you had a PSMA-PET scan? Good chance of showing where cancer is at PSA of 0.47
I had two research PSMA PET MRIs (Ga68 using trial isotopes R2 and Isobomb) and an Axumin scan. All at Stanford and I've been told nothing notable was detected that could be treated. I am surprised nothing was noted, especially given the 0.47. I have a second opinion check coming up in April, but I'm not sure how to get someone else to read the scans.
I you have an RO outside of Stanford, or one there not connected with the trial, you could ask them to consult on reviewing them and going over the images with you. They can provide them on discs or “push” them electronically with your permission.
