Maybe this is a stupid question what about flu shot i do Lupron prednisone and aberaitone is it safe to add to mix of drugs I'm already taking.

I am on eligard, prednisone, and aberateron, and my MO said it was OK to get a flu shot which I did. I also got the new COVID booster shot.

Yes, It does not provide total immunity against the flu. It is important to get the flu shot to reduce the probability of having a severe case ofthe flu wich could require admission to he hospital.

I agree with the other commenters.............. With the advice my oncologist, I got the booster (Moderna bivalent) about a month ago, and I am doing fine.

Totally safe to get the flu shot as well as the COVID booster.

I have my final Docetaxel infusion today and my MO told me to get them about 3-4 weeks after my final Docetaxel when my WBC count had recovered post-chemo for most effectiveness.

What a coincidence, I am starting tomorrow. I might have gotten the flu and covid shots a little soon because I was told something like 10 days before chemo and i got them more like 5. They said I could get it before (ideally 10 days in advance) or two weeks after the doxy shot. I will be visiting out of state and wanted to have the protection then, not 3 weeks from now.

Similar to AlvinSD -- I waited for about a month after my last chemo to get my shot.

I've been on Lupron for 40 months, and Zytiga (+prednisone) for 23 months. Neither the Covid vaccinations nor my annual 'flu vaccinations have ever given me any trouble.

seniors dose Flu shot, all the Covid shots, Pneumonia shot and feel fine. No adverse effects from any.

I am on Zytiga, Prednisone and Trelstar. I had my 5th booster on 31 Oct and my Flu shot today.

How is that trelstar my urologist wanted me to take that free, but my oncologist put me on lupron that i pay for do you like it lots of hot flashes lol

I've read there is some evidence that the mRNA versions of the Covid vaccines have a benefitial effect against PC. And that Clinical trials are currently researching this effect. My take on this is to get each mRNA vaccination available to you.
