I am about to acquire the the shot. Then I wondered is this a good idea to do this on top the Covid shots received three weeks ago. Any reason for concern?

Cholera shot and Covid
Interesting? My 1st thinking, albeit may be off track is there a need for Chloera vaxcinne like for travelling or local your living in? I’m sure a need is there. Yes, I’m in the hesitation caution node the last two days, but 28 hrs ago i just got my Pfizer/biotech vax inj.
Just venting Lewicki. My PCP just recently asked me if i had or wanted the Shingles shot...
I understand that the Cholera shot has anti Pca benefit. Desire to take it is for that reason.
The one they are referring to is NOT the one available in the USA - it is called "DUKORAL' and is sold over the counter in Canada. It is taken in 2 doses.
A word of caution - it NEEDS to be refrigerated - so you'd need to prepare for that to NOT SPOIL it.
I had it done a few months ago (I'm Canadian) with no side effects, but I wouldn't make it a TOP priority - if you need another type of shot, the urgency of 'that' shot should be considered.
I would read the Swedish Study (Google it) - it doesn't claim to help in every case ....
I may ask my PCP about shingles shot at my next visit. At age 80 you do not want to get it.
depot doug, If other things are ok, get the shingles vaccine. At age 70 I went thru hurricane Laura in August 2020, power outage for 10 days 5 days with heat warnings-couldn't go anywhere due to pandemic, got shingles, and continue to have pain/skin conditions for 7 months (postherpetic neuralgia).
Since there is no known benefit to a Cholera shot (it was merely an association), I would put the Covid-19 shot as the first priority. If there is a benefit, it was only for the Cholera shot used in Sweden.
Does it mean cholera shot will work in Sweden but not in USA ? Isn/t it like saying Penicillin will work in Uganda but not in Nigeria ? Strange statement.
It is a different formula used in Sweden than is available in the US. The Dukoral monovalent vaccine from Sweden, combines formalin, heat-killed whole cells of Vibrio cholerae O1 and a recombinant cholera toxin B subunit. Other vaccines are very different - BivWC (marketed as "Shanchol" and "mORCVAX") is a bivalent inactivated vaccine containing killed whole cells of V. cholerae O1 and V. cholerae O139. A live, attenuated oral vaccine (CVD 103-HgR or Vaxchora), derived from a serogroup O1 classical Inaba strain, was approved by the US FDA in 2016. There are also injectables available in some countries.
Unless God told you which vaccine component affects prostate cancer, IF IT DOES, there is no reason to believe that all kinds of vaccine are beneficial.
Nothing wrong with taking the Dukoral cholera vaccine that was used in the Swedish analysis and is avail over the counter in Canada, but not in the USA. It is oral in two doses, not a shot. The priority is on getting the COVID vaccine , both doses. That is proven. Dukoral is just an interesting and perhaps spurious association with no risk so it is interesting. Would wait 3 weeks until after 2nd dose of vaccine for full immunity before that. The US cholera vaccine is not the same but Canadian pharmacies can send it to you in cold packs
Will do . six weeks might be a target.
