I started on lupron 03/21. When i started my psa was 46.5 after 3 months it went to 0.02. I've also been on bicalumide 50mg daily. Today lab work and going for lupron #7 my psa was 1.70. My OC took me off bicalumide and wants me back in 6 weeks for lab. If psa is down we are good if not it's CT and BONE scan. Just wondering if anyone else has gone this route. Im 15 years out since operation. Thanks

Bicalutamide may feed the cancer, when it is stopped PSA may decline or get stable for a while.

If PSA progress the cancer is castration resistant. If the scans do not show metastases you may qualify for darolutamide.

At the time of PSA progression you could request Provenge a vaccine proven to prolong life.

thank you for the info. Next psa in 6 weeks off bicalumide for now.

there is a phenomenon called Casodex Withdrawal; where by about 20% experience PSA dropping when continuing on with Lupron/Eligard. Hopefully, you are in the 20%, I was. Your MO is looking for the drop. If not, then it is time for scans. Good luck and best wishes.

thank you im hoping now being off bicalumide that my psa drops. Next test in 6 weeks. My OC said that sometimes bicalumide mixed with lupron can spike the psa. Ive had bicalumide for 18 months.
