First PSA jump since dx, how concerned should I be?

My latest lab work resulted in a psa increase from .616 to 1.105 in one months time.

Testosterone still <12

All other panels normal less glucose at 111.

I’m really hoping that it’s because I went off the diet for 9 days to enjoy a cruise? Was that stupid? I let my MO’s voice “saying eat for pleasure” ease the guilt during the vacation. Result was + 10lbs and bmi from 23 to 28.

The only other changes I made was I started a H2O2 protocol (35% food grade diluted oral hydrogen peroxide therapy) , Zoloft and swapped lisinopril for clonidine (hoping for hot flashes relief which did not work. I’m currently in the process of switching back.)

I appreciate that it takes more than one occurrence to become a trend, but I’m concerned because it almost doubled in a month. What does that mean?

FYI I’m looking for opinions from experience.

This states for castrate resistant patients. I am not castrate yet, atleast I pray I’m not.

If your PSA is increasing, castration resistance is starting.

thank you smartaw, I always look forward to your reply’s. Ya, I’m back on the regimen, bmi went from 23 to 28 after the cruise and I’m sure those mudslides didn’t help. Lol. Hopefully this is the just a blip.

Im basically at the end of the oxygen therapy, winding down to maintenance dose. I decided to finish out the protocol which will take me to my next blood test at the end of the month. The possibility of proliferation is concerning. I spent hours combing the internet and did not find anything that completely discouraged or encouraged the use of oral H2O2 therapy other than the safety concerns regarding dilution. I wear gloves when diluting and make batches. It’s not a big deal at all but I get the need to be careful when diluting and the importance of following the protocol to the letter. I still don’t know if articles like this explain the effect of oral ingestion and the synthesis that takes place during that process, but perhaps my bias to want it to work is clouding my judgement. Either way, I need to see it through if I can fairly evaluate my trial of one. Hoping for the best. Fingers crossed. Much love my friend. God bless.

psa from 1.105 to 2.72 in 3 weeks. Safe to assume I’m CR?
