Has anyone had bloating problems with Zytiga?

I have been taking 500mg Zytiga for six months with no problems for PC, Gleason 8. The Pet Scan revealed no spread so I was given Zytiga as a precaution. Had 45 radiation treatments and have been getting monthly Firmagon injections. In the last week, I have had problems with bloating. I take the Zytiga first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and then 5mg Prednisone an hour later with food. Has anyone else had bloating with Zytiga. Thanks and God Bless.

Consult about having the electrolytes measured . Zytiga can cause hypokalemia and hypokalemia may be associated with abdominal distension.

Zytiga does cause GI problems such as dyspepsia and diarrhea.

Wish you the best of luck. Consider consulting with a GI doctor. There are many reasons to have bloating.

Hi Vegas man I’m same dosages 500gm zytiga on empty stomach then 5gm prednisone with food been on this dosage for 20 months reduced PSA down to 0.01 last 12 months from 23.5 reading also on H T 3 monthly injections. Like you have noticed bloating has increased this last 6 month last month I had stomach pains and very loose stool. I contacted my oncologist it seemed I was not drinking enough water to flush tablets through body so residue was laying told you drink 4 large glasses of water daily at times after take tablets had fine their job. I add I’m on BP / gastric / kidney diabetic too so this could be cause of bloating I was told !!

Bloating no. Constipation Yes. But which pharma do I blame it on? Cant start and stop to experiment. Take a GasX and see if it goes away. If yes. Easy. Best, Mike
