I am in my third week of Xtandi 4 pills a day and am developing hard chest pains and hip pains... I know I should go in for the chest pain and will just trying to weather the storm through this week. Have a little fatigue but other than the hip and chest ( feels like a bruise in the heart) all else is OKay.

I think you should go to the ER.

I spent many years in a medical triage software company. Our disposition for reported chest pain was always go to the ER/ call 911.

Please. Go get chest pain checked immediately.

The pain may not be related to the new med at all.

xtandi has been linked to MDS which is the exact thing they are trying to stop, Bone marrow involvement. and blood involvement. look up MDS and associated problemss and check those affects to your symptoms.

If the pain is behind your sternum (breastbone) , or left side of the sternum, or left shoulder irradiate to the left arm and neck, you should go to the ER.

Ischemic heart disease is more common in patients taking enzalutamide. Xtandi can also cause musculoskeletal pain (pain in bones and muscles) associated or not with pain in the joints.

Been on Xtandi now for a little over 4 years, you have to be real careful with the other pills you take with Xtandi. Your Xtandi provider usually has a pharmacist on duty you can talk to about this kind of stuff

After you get the chest pain issue explained and fixed, talk to Oncologist about possibly cutting back on the Xtandi to 3 or even 2 pills a day. Also have the list of other meds you are taking as Xtandi is a very reactive drug. Good Luck Brother!

Don't mess around call 911.... Hospitals have geared up for covid... and most are ready and able to handle the hordes of "customers"..... May end up your doctor admitting you to a hospital anyway....

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.
