Should I be worried about the PSa rise?

Hello, my father's PSA, which was 0.0876 last month in pre-chemotherapy tests, is 0.103 this month. He had Zoladex done on May 24. Do you think PSA is on an uptrend?

PSA jumps around for many of us. 3 months of a rising trend would be reason for new scans (ideally PSMA PET SCAN), or as TA would say, use the same scan as previous for comparison. Both scans if insurance will pay. My understanding is Medicare will pay for one PET Scan per calendar year. Mike

If he is in active chemo treatment I understand the dying cancer cells can give off PSA. I cannot say this is what's causing the increase but it is something I have seen referred to on this forum.

They both are 0.1. That is what I see.

If a third PSA is up, that would be an upward trend.

I hope the decline continues. He will test again in 15 days.

Doubtful; have some more testing done in increments of months, not weeks. But take the doctor's advice.
