Good bye Lymparza Hello RA223

Stopped Lymparza. Going on to RA 223. For Mets to bones all over. Mets to soft tissues reduced to very small. I am concerned about not having any meds to control them during 223 applications. Any discussion great fully appreciated.

My husband did Ra 223 and now he's on Lynparza. How long did you stay on Lynparza??

You could discuss combining the Ra 223 therapy with chemo.

There are many clinical trials that combine Xofigo with other medicines (e.g., docetaxel, enzalutamide, BAT). You can discuss these with your oncologist:

In your situation, the trial of Th-227-PSMA may be perfect. You may qualify if it has been over a month since Lynparza. It acts on all tumors that express PSMA, but then Th-227 decays into Ra-223, which is, in effect, Xofigo. So you get two treatments in one:

Thank you for the update. I checked the clinical trial and I probably will have trouble with some of the exclusions.

I just started Radium-223 this month for a total of six months, after Zytiga failure.

There are all kinds of bone metastases in my spine, ribs and pelvic areas.

Still on Firmagon, Goldberg,

I have no experience with RA223 but I do have questions about Lymparza as I’m told it’s my next line treatment for bone mets. Is this medicine successful in the treatment of bone mets? How much does it cost and what are the side effects?

Been on Lynparza for 8 months. PSA has not moved much but scans show improvement in Mets. Doc says 95% have stayed the same or improved. However he is concerned that PSA has gone from 16-21 over those 8 months. Have another scan soon then decide path forward.

Thanks. Have you experienced any side effects?

Very few side effects. Tired at times but that’s about it.
