My husband has had 6 rounds of Docetaxel, 3 rounds of jentava and now two rounds of Jentava along with Carboplatin. None have even touched the psa and some progression on the scans. This is taking a huge toll. He has been on Zytiga, Lynparza, Keytruda now the chemo. Just asking opinions. Do any of you think that maybe Xtandi could work? Could Darolutamide also be a possibility or is this drug only used with no Mets? He has to wait a couple more months for any trial due to blood clots. Could really use some feedback. Thank you

Wait for some replies from the experts here. However, I can say that I had blood clots and so far Xtandi has worked for me.Good luck.
Damn, so sorry to hear he isn't getting the results you want. What a fighter. I can only imagine the toll that accumulates over the treatments.
I found little benefit from abiraterone, and haven't tried enzalutamide I didn't expect much help from aberaterone, since my testosterone was <6ng/ml prior to taking it. I think it's primary method of action is to block testosterone production. Enzalutamide blocks the use of testosterone within the cancer cell, so it might give better results.
I've seen a lot of anecdotal posts saying that enzalutamide is effective alone and in combination with other treatments.
What was the reason that your physician did not try Provenge? Can you retry the Docetaxel?? When do you go back to the oncologist?? I hope you find something soon!!!
Why not try Xtandi? Nubeqa is only approved for non-metastatic CRPC. Erleada is only approved for that and for metastatic HSPC. However, I've seen some MOs get approval for both of them anyway. I don't know if any of them are better than any others. Anecdotally, Erleada seems more powerful but has more side effects.
Hold tight Fight11. It's hard but don't lose hope. If he is accepted on clinical trials there is still hope. I was DX a few months earlier in Feb and Abiraterone didn't work at all, ADT worked 3 months before I became castrate resistant. I was BRAC2 which worked for 3 months before first PSA rise but managed to squeeze 7 months out. May be worth getting some testing done. How is his PSA and does he have soft tissue disease.
As I've said before you and him have been thru a lot in a short period of time. I guess hold tight, hang in there are an understatement but I offer that anyway.
You question about Xtandi use it seems overall has been confirmed by many here to be worth it. No harm at all in trying. I also thought that chemo re-sensitizes cells so that Xtandi is effective in cases when it otherwise hadn't been.
