Chemo Docetaxel

My husband is in year 7 since RP and ADT Drugs, NUBEQA and Zytiga, all of which eventually failed.

He is now having 6 rounds of Docetaxel … My question is: has anyone gone into a period of remission after being on Docetaxel?

As of last Auxium scan mid June no visible spread into a major organ or bones yet. 🙏🏻

Thanks to anyone who has a shared experience.

I don't think docetaxel is very effective unless there are actively growing distant metastases.

Doxy did little for me maybe got me a few months. The main reason for doxy was so I could get Pluvicto as it was only available if you had chemo first. It was a lot to go through just to get another treatment. I heard that doxy along with other treatments can be more effective.

And now I think you can get Pluvicto without having had chemo first or at least there are trials.

If I remember correctly you too have CDK12 mutation, as my husband does? But as you say, chemo is often a prerequisite for other treatments. Thanks for your response.

I did and still am. I started monthly Lupron in Aug 21, still do a monthly shot, and chemo with Docetaxel in Sept 21. I’ve been non detectable since round 5 of chemo in Dec 21. I do labs and MO visit every 3 months.

I prefer the Intravenous vitamin c, fasting, ivermectin and fenbendazole route. Too many side effects with chemo.

I completed six sessions of Docetaxel in November 2022. Currently taking Lupron and Nubeqa as part of the triplet therapy beginning in July 2022. I’m still castrate sensitive and PSA has been undetectable since March 2023.

I got about four remission after the last dose.

I’m now receiving pluvicto.

Will receive third dose in two weeks.

PSA dropping and one lymph node has resolved and no longer active on scan
