I'd like to thank fellow members for sharing their knowledge on iron usage and storage. I was scheduled for a transfusion today, if I became more anemic. After the discussion, I came to the conclusion that iron supplements wouldn't lead to too high a blood concentration, and took them over the past week. I was able to keep my hemoglobin steady following my cabazitaxel infusion , and avoid getting the transfusion.
Back in the early 2000's I consulted at Microsoft editing the DotNet users guide. It was a collection of articles on how to transition from individual PC computing to cloud computing. Back then, I saw the internet as the world's greatest store of knowledge. Unfortunately, it took a different path. Sites like this one still provide that link to knowledge.
Thanks for the group effort to keep this site focused on information for Pca warriors.

I think most of us are here for the medical info... Plus we get to see how others are handling the mess aPca makes of our lives.... Life Is Good-extra info never hurts.
I am kind of the same way with Provenge. It was offered to me two or three years ago, but I declined it at the time because I was dealing with some artery blockage, and the whole Idea of removing blood, "training" it, then putting it back in just sort of freaked me out.
I think that's what bothers me about the transfusion. It seems that people need it when things aren't going well. I like to keep thinking that things are going well for me. Needing the transfusion would burst that bubble.
I've often thought that Microsoft had more twisty little turns and bugs in their software than I would have expected from them, but that their documentation was better than that from the other big companies. Now I know why.
Totally agree - this site is invaluable for up-to-date PC information and advice. Wouldn’t want to be without it and your significant contributions are really welcome. Thank you.
