CLL and PCa - any difference on your treatment

I have stage 0 CLL (diagnosed in Apr, 2018) and have PCa, GS 8, PSA 38 (diagnosed in May, 2018). I haven't started treatment yet, waiting to see Radiation Oncologist. Anyone else have both diseases and has it impacted the type of treatment you received for PCa? Thanks.

Have you read AKM Shamsuddin’s book “IP6 & Inositol”? IP6 has worked to suppress PCa and numerous other cancers. I have been using IP6 for close to 3 years. My PSA has been 0.06 after 5 plus years on Lupron. GL of 8. As for CLL, you would be entering unchartered waters where only anecdotal reports on blood cancers are available. I am not aware of any studies involving IP6 and CLL in human subjects.

These studies point to the promise of IP6 (aka "phytic acid", "inositol hexaphosphate", "phytates") efficacy with leukemias:

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/263...

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/125...

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/120...

I hope this is helpful.

I have both CLL and PC. 21 years now with MOCRCP. Current treatment Eligard and Erleada. DX with CLL about 12 years ago. CLL hasn't taken off yet so we are keeping a close eye on blood work. I guess you could also call this "Active Surveillance".

I am also with the same diagnosis. My haemato-oncologist told me not worry about CLL. It may not progress in your life time at all and you may not require any treatment for this. But you have to check your CBC (blood test) every three months. I am diagnosed for both CLL and pca in 2015. So far the status of CLL is the same. But I taking treatment for pca which is of a high risk grade (gs 9 and initial psa 70. I don't know in what stage is your pca. Anyway take treatment for pca and forget about CLL at this stage

My husband has Myeloma and MPC. His myeloma is inactive so we just treat the PC which is one hell of a beast.

dress2544, thanks for the information. Mine is PSA 38 and GS 8. They are putting me on ADT tomorrow. Still need to see Radiation Oncologist. What type of treatment are you getting for the PC?
