Xofigo #6 Next Week

Good morning everyone. Blood work yesterday showed my ANC at 1.5 and WBC at 2.7 so both high enough for the last dose next Friday. We’re so thankful to not have ti wait another month. Will do a PSMA PET scan at Baylor in Dallas 5-6 weeks after. So early December. It’s hard to wait and see how the Xofigo has worked on reducing/eradicating the METS.

My PSA jumped from 2.7 to 4.08 over the last month. Has anyone else had this happen? It was at .35 prior to starting the Xofigo and has continually increased.

My ALP is down to 51 so I believe that’s a good sign. I do have a lot of pain in the bones though. I’m sure I’m not the only one but it seems like I have someone running around inside and he suddenly decides where to whack me with a hammer. I would much prefer to only deal with one spot. Unfortunately, you don’t always get what you want 😀

On a positive note I woke up this morning, I have a loving Family, a great support group here and the Dallas Cowboys look amazing this year.

Hope you all have a great day and praying for you as always.

Hello BT3 - happy to see your WBC and your ANC are good to go. My husband stopped his treatment due to the scan - mets increased and PSA doubling at dose 3 this week. He claims that xofigo made him feel physically better and wishes he could stay on the drug. Best to you - you are in our prayers! 🙏🙏

I’m so sorry to hear that he stopped. Did he have a PET scan that showed the increase? Was that what the RO/MO recommended doing?

It is common for PSA to increase when beginning any new therapy because of the cancer cells dying. Xofigo often does not lower PSA anyway.

Great ALP readings... Mine now down to 65( lowest in 1 1/2 years). It started up about 6 months before PSA started up. Great response for both of us. Best of luck with next treatment... Life Is Good for both of us....
